Week 6 DFS Injury Impact
Injuries and players missing time for other reasons are always a big deal in fantasy football but even more so in DFS where one player’s issues can completely alter an entire game and the next man up mantra becomes vital due to the salary cap nature of DFS. Thus, it’s important to stay on top of all injury/suspension/holdout news before locking in your DFS lineups.
Here are the most relevant players in danger of missing time or returning to action in Week 6:
OUT for the Vikings: Stefon Diggs and Sam Bradford
Upgrade: Adam Thielen and Kyle Rudolph
Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen have dominated the targets in this passing game all season. Diggs has seen 36 and Thielen actually leads the team with 40. In fact, Thielen is tied for the 14th most targets in the entire league. With Diggs out and his targets up for grabs, Thielen should see a ton of volume at home against a questionable Packers pass defense. Kyle Rudolph makes for an in intriguing tournament TE play as well.
Doubtful for the Dolphins: DeVante Parker
IN for the Falcons: Vic Beasley
Upgrade for the Dolphins: Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills
Upgrade for the Falcons: Falcons D/ST
Jarvis Landry has dominated the targets in this passing game so far this season. He’s averaging over 10 targets a game and ranks 12th in the league in targets despite only playing in four games so far this season. With DeVante Parker tending toward sitting this one out, Landry’s guaranteed volume isn’t going anywhere against a Falcons defense that struggles to cover pass catchers over the middle of the field at times. And Kenny Stills becomes even more intriguing in tournaments because he’ll be the #1 deep threat without Parker. However, my favorite play, especially considering this injury news, is the Falcons D/ST. Turnover-prone Jay Cutler is down a weapon in the passing game and has only thrown three TD passes in four games.
