NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Picks Week 1 (Fantasy Football)
Building winning GPP lineups is tough by definition. There are, however, some key things to look for when filling out your roster. First and foremost is ceiling. We want players with the potential to score the most points. Next is leverage. We want the players who can take advantage of what the rest of the field is doing. Finally, we have to build a lineup that tells a winning story through game script and stacking.
Every week in this article, I will highlight my favorite FanDuel GPP picks at each position for the main slate of games. It will not be an exhaustive list, but it aims to give you a starting point and a way of thinking as you build your tournament lineups. But do not stop here. Week 1 is always a little like the Wild West. With no current season data available, we have to lean a bit more into narratives to tell our tournament-winning story, but that does not mean we will ignore numbers altogether. Let’s dive in.
Quarterbacks
Lamar Jackson @ IND – $8,400
Jackson’s injury-plagued 2025 season left a lot to be desired, but we get to start 2026 with a clean slate. So does Jackson, as he is healthy and operating a new offense led by Ben Johnson disciple Declan Doyle. The Ravens’ QB has been raving about the fresh offensive system, which debuts against the Colts in Week 1. Baltimore enters the game as 3.5-point favorites in a game with a solid 47.5 over/under. The field doesn’t appear to be buying in yet, creating an opportunity to get in on Jackson and his GPP winning ceiling while our optimizer is projecting him to be rostered in just around 6% of lineups.
