Monday – Week 9 Studs & Duds + Emotional Takes, Monday Punday
News
Tucker Kraft suffered an ACL tear and is out for the season. Matthew Golden left Sunday’s game with a shoulder issue. Jayden Daniels dislocated his elbow; X-rays were negative, but an MRI will determine if surgery is needed. Luke McCaffrey is out with a broken collarbone, and Marshon Lattimore has a suspected torn ACL. Puka Nacua exited briefly with a rib/chest injury but returned, while Aaron Jones left with an AC joint sprain, which is expected to be minor. Concussions affected CJ Stroud, Cole Kmet, and Dyami Brown, and Brian Thomas Jr. sustained a probable high ankle sprain. Samaje Perine and Kayshon Boutte left with ankle and hamstring injuries, respectively. Brock Purdy remains out with a toe injury, with the team targeting a playoff return.
On roster news, the Jets are unlikely to trade RB Breece Hall unless an exceptional offer arises, and the Cardinals will start Jacoby Brissett with Kyler Murray listed as questionable, but not being benched, according to coach speak.
Studs

Joseph Maiorana-Imagn Images
QB Studs:
Caleb Williams was electric with 280 passing yards, three TDs, 53 rushing yards, and even a receiving score on a Philly Special. Joe Flacco turned back the clock with a career-high 470 yards and four TDs in a wild shootout against Chicago. Justin Herbert rebounded with 250 passing yards, three total TDs, and 57 rushing yards. Rookie Jaxson Dart continued to impress with 191 yards and two TDs through the air and 56 rushing yards plus a score, ranking QB3 since becoming the starter. Sam Darnold was flawless with 330 yards and four TDs, while Matthew Stafford added 281 yards and four scores, and leads the NFL in TD passes.
RB Studs:
Christian McCaffrey reminded everyone why he’s the RB1 overall with 173 total yards and two scores. Rico Dowdle, despite battling a groin injury, bulldozed his way to 130 yards and two TDs. Rookie Kyle Monangai shocked with 198 total yards on 29 touches. Kyren Williams stayed hot (114 yards, TD), while Ashton Jeanty delivered in the air (five catches for 47 yards and a TD). Travis Etienne dominated but was stuffed five times at the one-yard line, missing multiple chances to score. Josh Jacobs, RJ Harvey, and Jaylen Warren all found the end zone, and Chase Brown’s absurd 14 targets kept him fantasy-relevant in Cincinnati.
WR Studs:
Drake London erupted for 118 yards and three TDs, while Tee Higgins matched him with 121 yards and two scores. Davante Adams and Puka Nacua both delivered, and rookie Tory Horton shone for Seattle with two scores. JSN exploded for 8 for 129, and DJ Moore filled the stat sheet with a TD rushing, receiving, and passing. Pop Douglas, Rashee Rice, and Amon-Ra St. Brown all stayed productive, while Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce thrived in a garbage-time shootout.
TE Studs:
Brock Bowers absolutely dominated with 12 catches, 127 yards, and three TDs. Colston Loveland broke tackles and hearts with a massive game against the Bengals’ soft defense. Dalton Kincaid remained Josh Allen’s top target, while Sam LaPorta rumbled for 97 yards and a bulldozing TD. Mark Andrews scored twice, Dalton Schultz kept producing, and even Travis Kelce’s “down week” (4 for 66) was serviceable.
Duds
QBs:
Patrick Mahomes posted the lowest completion rate of his career (44%) while Josh Allen doubled him up at 88%. Jordan Love was shut down by a suddenly competent Carolina defense, managing just 273 yards and no scores. Daniel Jones imploded with four turnovers and has inexplicably stopped running. He’s on pace for just 170 rushing yards this season after being a 500-yard rusher in years past.
RBs:
Jonathan Taylor was bottled up for just 45 yards on 14 carries in one of the week’s biggest disappointments. Alvin Kamara cratered along with the entire Saints offense. Jahmyr Gibbs managed just 28 total yards in a nightmare showing, while Kimani Vidal flopped after back-to-back strong weeks, finishing with 30 yards on 12 carries. Woody Marks and Nick Chubb both underwhelmed in brutal matchups, and J.K. Dobbins fell flat against Houston’s elite run defense. Zach Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker split work and neutralized each other’s value, and Jacory Croskey-Merritt’s early-season magic is completely gone.
WRs:
Rome Odunze posted a full goose egg in a 47–42 shootout, his third dud in the past four games. DK Metcalf was invisible with two catches for six yards despite multiple red-zone looks, and Brian Thomas Jr. continues his slide with just three grabs and is trending toward “season bust” territory. Ladd McConkey and Keenan Allen both vanished in the Chargers’ offense, while Xavier Worthy caught just three balls for 23 yards and is droppable through his bye. Chris Olave was ignored by new QB Tyler Shough, seeing only four targets compared to Rashid Shaheed’s nine. Tetairoa McMillan and Jordan Addison both cooled off in low-volume games, and Darnell Mooney saw just two targets as Drake London dominated Atlanta’s passing work.
TEs:
George Kittle produced just 43 yards and has clearly lost consistency with Mac Jones under center. Tyler Warren was disappointing despite seven targets, finishing with only 26 yards. Kyle Pitts stayed involved but failed to make an impact with four catches for 38 yards, another reminder that Atlanta’s offense can’t sustain multiple pass-catchers.
Tuesday – Week 10 Waiver + Streaming Options, Breaking Trade News
Monday Night Recap: Cardinals Upset Cowboys
Jacoby Brissett commanded the offense, especially compared to Kyler Murray. While Kyler’s peak is elite, Brissett’s poise and willingness to stand in the pocket have unlocked Arizona’s passing game, particularly Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride.
News
Packers’ Tucker Kraft is out for the season with a torn ACL, leaving Jordan Love without a key weapon, while the Raiders’ Omarion Hampton won’t return until after Week 12. Chargers’ left tackle Joe Alt is also out, making Justin Herbert a higher-variance QB despite leading all QBs in rushing yards. The Bengals’ Chase Brown upset the coaching staff with postgame comments, and Puka Nacua, Samaje Perine, and Cedric Tillman have varying injury statuses.
The Jets’ Garrett Wilson and Tyrod Taylor are back in practice, but a starting QB hasn’t been named. Meanwhile, the 49ers’ Brandon Aiyuk remains sidelined.
Breaking news during the show: Jakobi Meyers was traded to the Jaguars for a fourth and a sixth-round pick. Rashid Shaheed was traded to the Seahawks for a fourth and a fifth-rounder.
Waiver Wire
RBs: This is a brutal week for RB adds, with most options purely insurance. Emari Demercado is the top pick in Arizona with Trey Benson out, while Blake Corum offers deep-stash upside. Devin Singletary provides a safer floor in New York, and Dylan Sampson could be picked up if Judkins misses time.
WRs: Alec Pierce is the top WR add, with a high-volume target share in a strong offense. Parker Washington benefits from Jakobi Meyers’ trade and could see an expanded role. Darius Slayton is a high-upside WR3, and rookie Tory Horton could flash if Cooper Kupp sits again, but gains competition with Shaheed in town. Troy Franklin should be picked up. Pat Bryant and Kyle Williams are deeper league stashes. Drop candidates include Keon Coleman and Matthew Golden.
TEs: Colston Loveland (“Catston Dogland”) is the clear top pickup after a monster performance. Theo Johnson and Cade Otton provide solid secondary options, while Luke Musgrave will fill in for the injured Tucker Kraft in Green Bay.
DSTs: Cleveland is the top add against the Jets, with Carolina and Houston offering additional streaming options in favorable matchups (NO and JAX, respectively).

Full Stream Ahead

Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images
Jason: Jaxson Dart (at CHI)
Dart’s been the QB3 in fantasy since Week 4 and continues to rack up rushing yards. He draws a soft Bears defense tied for last in yards per play allowed, giving him top-8 upside.
Andy: Michael Penix Jr. (at IND)
Fresh off a three-TD outing, Penix gets a favorable dome matchup against a shaky Colts secondary.
Mike: Marcus Mariota (vs DET)
Mariota’s legs keep him in streamer range, averaging 30 rushing yards per game. Facing a Lions defense ranked 23rd vs QBs since Week 3.
Other considerations: J.J. McCarthy (vs BAL) and C.J. Stroud (vs JAX, if cleared).
Wednesday – Week 10 Start/Sit + TNF Preview, NFL Trade Reactions
Backup Options
Check your waiver wire for the most-dropped players this week.
Kyler Murray and Jayden Daniels were among the most dropped players this week, with Kyler likely heading to IR as Jacoby Brissett cements himself as the Cardinals’ starter. Chris Rodriguez Jr. emerged as Jason’s favorite pickup – he led Washington in rushing last week and could overtake JCM in a struggling offense. Rookie WR Matthew Golden is a stash, as the first-rounder could have an expanding role (if healthy).
Mike pointed to the Ravens DST as a proactive add; they’ve allowed just 13 points per game over the past month and have a soft three-week stretch ahead (vs MIN, CLE, NYJ). Deep-league monitor: Phil Mafah, Cowboys RB, could be activated post-bye as Dallas’s new backup.
News
Jakobi Meyers was traded to the Jaguars for a fourth- and sixth-round pick; he will play outside while Parker Washington remains in the slot. Jacksonville may extend Meyers after the season, but he’s a risky fantasy start this week against Houston’s top-five WR defense.
Rashid Shaheed was dealt from the Saints to the Seahawks, a perfect fit for Sam Darnold’s deep passing and a boost to Seattle’s offense, though it could lead to a few quieter weeks for Jaxon Smith-Njigba. In a blockbuster, Sauce Gardner was traded to the Colts for two first-rounders and Adonai Mitchell. The Jets have entered full reset mode. The Cowboys added Quinnen Williams from the Jets to strengthen their defensive front, though it may not fix all their issues. Around the league, C.J. Stroud is expected to sit this week with Davis Mills starting, Brian Thomas Jr. has a low-grade high ankle sprain, Ricky Pearsall’s return remains uncertain, and the Cardinals officially named Jacoby Brissett their starting QB.
TNF Preview
2-6 LV at 7-2 DEN (DEN -9.5, O/U 42)
The 2–6 Raiders visit the 7–2 Broncos on Thursday night as heavy underdogs. Las Vegas has just a 16.5-point implied total and faces a Denver defense that leads the league with 40 sacks. For fantasy, Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty are locked-in starts given their volume and talent, while Jakobi Meyers’ departure opens more work for rookie D’onte Thornton and veteran Tyler Lockett. For Denver, J.K. Dobbins is a strong play with 15 carries last week, while R.J. Harvey remains a TD-dependent flex option. Bo Nix sits as QB7 on the year but tends to do most of his damage late, while Troy Franklin’s steady target share (10-8-10 over the last three) keeps him in flex territory against a vulnerable Raiders secondary.
Thursday – Starts of the Week + Week 10 Breakdown, Get Squished!
News
Kyler Murray has been placed on IR by the Cardinals, with Jacoby Brissett taking over as the starter. The move appears to be both protective and performance-based, and Murray could return healthy later in the season. Puka Nacua’s rib scans looked good, though he was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Brian Thomas Jr. did not practice due to a high ankle sprain. CJ Stroud is already ruled out, and Nick Chubb missed practice with a foot injury, which should be monitored alongside Woody Marks’ availability. Cooper Kupp did not practice as he continues to manage hamstring and heel issues, with Rashid Shaheed added to ease his workload. Rico Dowdle missed practice with a quad issue, not a groin injury.
Michael Pittman also did not practice due to a glute injury. D’Andre Swift returned to limited practice and is expected to play Sunday, keeping Kyle Monangai playable and potentially a must-start if Swift misses. Other players limited or absent from Wednesday’s practice included DJ Moore, James Cook, Aaron Jones, Garrett Wilson, Rhamondre Stevenson, Bucky Irving, and Chris Godwin, with updates expected ahead of the week’s games.
Starts of the Week
Mike’s Picks
QB: Matthew Stafford faces the 49ers on the road and should have a clean pocket while providing a top-eight fantasy floor.
RB: Jaylen Warren takes on the Chargers with a high-volume workload and an elite combination of carries and targets.
WR: Darius Slayton faces Chicago in a favorable matchup and has potential for a spike week after recent near-misses.
TE: Kyle Pitts plays in Berlin against the Colts with a reliable floor.
Andy’s Picks
QB: Justin Herbert faces the Steelers while leading the league in rushing yards over the last three weeks.
RB: Kyle Monangai takes on the Giants and maintains a high-volume, efficient role even with D’Andre Swift active.
WR: Emeka Egbuka faces the Patriots at full health with a top target share and an offense looking to rebound after the bye.
TE: Sam LaPorta faces Washington and continues to see heavy involvement in the offense against a struggling secondary.
Jason’s Picks
QB: Baker Mayfield plays at home versus New England in a “get right” spot against a weak pass defense.
RB: David Montgomery takes on Washington in a soft rush defense with a high-volume role near the goal line.
WR: Rome Odunze faces the Giants in a man-heavy defensive scheme that should favor his one-on-one opportunities.
TE: Oronde Gadsden plays against the Steelers and leads all tight ends in fantasy points, receptions, and yards over the last month.
Fantasy Forecast

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-Imagn Images
3-5 ATL at 7-2 IND (IND -6.5 O/U 48.5, Berlin) Jonathan Taylor remains a must-start regardless of last week’s struggles, Josh Downs is playable if Michael Pittman is out, and Alec Pierce is a safe WR start but may have a lower ceiling against Atlanta’s top-10 WR defense. Start the usuals on the Falcons’ side.
2-7 NYG at 5-3 CHI (CHI -4.5, O/U 46.5)
D’Andre Swift is the preferred RB if healthy, but Monongai is Andy’s RB start of the week. Caleb Williams and Jaxson Dart are strong QB starts. Colston Loveland is a great option at TE, especially if Cole Kmet is out.
6-2 BUF at 2-7 MIA (BUF -9.5, O/U 50.5)
De’Von Achane is one of the safest RB plays. Jaylen Waddle is a strong WR start. Dalton Kincaid is a TE to monitor, but matchup-dependent, and James Cook’s status could lead to increased opportunities for Ty Johnson and Ray Davis. Keep an eye on MIA TE Greg Dulcich, although this week’s matchup is rough.
3-5 BAL at 4-4 MIN (BAL -4.5, O/U 49.5)
Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews are top plays. Zay Flowers offers a safe floor but a limited ceiling. Minnesota’s RB situation hinges on Aaron Jones’ availability, with Jordan Mason as a fallback option. Play Justin Jefferson (of course), and Jordan Addison is a flex option with a high ceiling.
2-6 CLE at 1-7 NYJ (CLE -1.5, O/U 37.5)
Breece Hall is a must-start. Garrett Wilson will depend on who starts between Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields at QB. Both offering volume but a low ceiling. Quinshon Judkins is a solid RB against a depleted Jets’ defense, and Harold Fannin continues to demand targets.
7-2 NE at 6-2 TB (NE -2.5, O/U 48.5)
Baker Mayfield and Emeka Egbuka are starts of the week. The Ballers combined for a “tri-force” for Treveyon Henderson this week, all but ensuring a breakout. Keep starting Drake Maye, but his weapons remain sketchy. Kyle Williams is a WR dart throw behind Diggs and Douglas. TE Cade Otton is definitely in play.
1-8 NO at 5-4 CAR (CAR -5.5, O/U 39.5)
Rico Dowdle is an elite RB start if healthy, but that is still up in the air. If not, Chuba Hubbard will step right back into the starting role for the Panthers. Alvin Kamara should probably be benched due to poor recent usage. WR Tet McMillan has been slightly disappointing, but should continue to improve in his rookie year. Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson are the top two targets for the Saints; the value of those targets, however, is questionable at best.
Friday – Week 5 Matchups + Wheel of Shame, Backward Hat Bros
News
Jayden Daniels’ MRI shows no ligament damage, just a dislocation. He won’t need surgery, which should offer a big morale boost for his team. Chris Godwin could return late November or December, but fantasy relevance is doubtful. James Cook, Rico Dowdle, Aaron Jones, Michael Pittman, D’Andre Swift, Luther Burden, Nick Chubb, Puka Nacua, Saquon Barkley, and A.J. Brown all participated in practice (limited or full). Harold Fannin, Rhamondre Stevenson, Kayshon Boutte, along with Rome Odunze and DJ Moore, are dealing with injuries.
Fantasy Forecast
5-3 JAX at 3-5 HOU (JAX -1.5, O/U 37.5)
C.J. Stroud is out, so Houston will start Davis Mills, who is 5-19-1 as a starter. Trevor Lawrence has struggled, ranking above only Cam Ward and Dylan Gabrial in passer rating. Jakobi Meyers is expected outside, Parker Washington is in the slot, and Brian Thomas is likely out with a high ankle sprain. Etienne remains playable, but his ceiling may be limited unless he scores multiple TDs. Mills makes Nico Collins a shaky, but the matchup is favorable.
3-5 ARI at 6-2 SEA (SEA -6.5, O/U 44.5)
Kyler Murray is on IR, so it’s another start for Jacoby Brissett. Sam Darnold has been impressive for SEA, throwing 287 yards per game with multiple TDs. Trey McBride continues as the top TE, and Marvin Harrison Jr. is heating up with Brissett at the helm. Arizona’s RBs have limited appeal; Emari Demercado is preferred over Bam Knight. Ken Walker and Zach Charbonnet are a near 50-50 timeshare; Wile Walker has big-play upside, Charbonnet gets goal-line touches. JSN is locked in your lineups, and newcomer Rashid Shaheed could make an immediate impact.
6-2 LAR at 6-3 SF (LAR -4.5, O/U 49.5)
Kyle Shanahan has McVay’s number historically, and SF is banged up. Stafford is performing well, Davante Adams is a goal-line target machine, and McCaffrey remains a must-start. The 49ers WRs are inconsistent; Jauan Jennings is risky, and George Kittle remains in play due to his talent alone. Brian Robinson is an under-rostered insurance RB worth picking up.
5-3 DET at 3-6 WAS (DET -7.5, O/U 49.5)
Marcus Mariota gets the start, offering rushing upside, while Jared Goff could bounce back for Detroit. The Lions respond well after losses, historically. Alec Pierce is consistent; David Montgomery is a safe RB option, Jameson Williams has limited involvement but is trending upward. Treylon Burks played 51% of snaps for the Commanders, highlighting their shallow depth at WR. Deebo Samuel is in play, but hasn’t given you much recently.
5-3 PIT at 6-3 LAC (LAC -3, O/U 45.5)
The Steelers’ RB situation is stable, but the Chargers are waiting on Omarion Hampton’s return. Kimani Vidal has been up and down in Hampton’s place. Justin Herbert is a top QB play, with Ladd McConkey, Keenan Allen, Quentin Johnston, and Oronde Gadsden as primary pass-catchers. Not all of them will hit, but all are good starts. Jaylen Warren is a strong RB play vs a run-funnel defense. DK Metcalf is proving to be TD-dependent.
6-2 PHI at 5-2-1 GB (GB -2.5, O/U 45.5)
Jalen Hurts is a must-start; GB has inconsistencies with Jordan Love, especially without Tucker Kraft. Romeo Doubs is emerging as a WR option, and Christian Watson may see more targets. Keep an eye on TE Luke Musgrave. Dallas Goedert has goal-line usage. Tank Bigsby is a potential insurance RB if Barkley misses. Play the Eagles’ WRs, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
Fantasy Faceoff
Last week, Mike and Jason both went a perfect 4-for-4 in PrizePicks, while Andy went 2-for-4 and had to spin the Wheel of Shame. His punishment was a wet shame bag for the rest of the segment.
