J.J. McCarthy

It’s been an odd debut season for JJ McCarthy as the starter in Minnesota. McCarthy came out of the gates with a QB11 finish and out-dueled Caleb Williams to start the season, only to back that up with a QB33 finish the next week. Since then, McCarthy missed five games until his return last week against the Lions, where he scored three total TDs but only managed to finish as the QB14. In his three starts this season, McCarthy is only averaging 22 passing attempts per game, so the Vikings aren’t putting a ton on his shoulders. McCarthy has made up for his lower passing volume with some consistent rushing, averaging 20 yards on the ground per game and adding two total rushing TDs this season.

A matchup this week against the Baltimore defense should provide some opportunity for McCarthy to be in the streaming range for fantasy managers. While the Ravens defense has been one to target so far this season, allowing the 10th-most passing yards on the season, they haven’t been a strong fantasy play at the QB position. On the season, Baltimore’s defense has held opposing QBs to less than 15 fantasy points in five of their eight games this season. To be fair, in those other three games, they have allowed an average of 32.9 fantasy points to QBs. Given the low passing volume that McCarthy has been given to start his tenure as the Vikings’ starter, unless he is going to be hyper-efficient, he probably is a low-end streaming option until those passing numbers increase.

Jared Goff

Jared Goff

QB - DET

@ WAS
draft rankings are no longer available for Jared Goff

After three straight seasons of being a top-10 fantasy QB, 2025 has been a slow start for Jared Goff. The Lions offense has still been humming, but the biggest difference for Goff has been the lack of multi-passing TD games to really make him a factor for fantasy rosters. Through eight games this season, Goff has only thrown 3+ TDs twice, and only one of those weeks ended up being a top-12 QB finish when he tossed five TDs against the Bears back in Week 2 and ended up as the QB1 overall. On the positive side, Goff is still getting to throw the ball plenty, averaging 30 passing attempts per game, which is right in line with the 31.7 attempts he averaged last season when he finished as the QB6.

There is a chance Goff can get back into the fantasy usable range for fantasy managers this week with a matchup against the Commanders. Washington’s defense has been one of the worst in the league this season, allowing the 2nd-most passing yards in the league and the highest yards per attempt, giving up 8.8 on every passing play. For fantasy, the Commanders have allowed a top-10 QB finish in each of their last four games, and in three of those, the QB scored 23+ points. It’s been hard to bet on Goff this season, but he should be a decent streaming option for fantasy managers with this matchup.

Despite a pretty rocky offseason, Quinshon Judkins has maybe been the best rookie RB out of this loaded draft class. Since Week 3, Judkins has averaged 20 opportunities per game and finished as a top-12 RB in four of his six games. Even with a sub-par offense around him, Judkins has been as consistent as they come and should really be penciled in as a weekly starter regardless of matchup for fantasy managers. It is worth noting that Judkins is still nursing a shoulder injury, but it appears that he will be good to go for Week 10.

Judkins’ return to the field comes with a great matchup against the Jets. New York’s defense has allowed the 9th-most rushing yards in the league this season and just lost one of their best defensive run stoppers when they traded Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys ahead of the trade deadline this week. When it comes to fantasy matchups, the Jets have allowed a top-24 RB in all but one game this season, including three top-5 RB finishes. As long as Judkins is cleared to play, he has high-end RB upside for fantasy managers this week again.

RJ Harvey

RB - DEN

vs LV
draft rankings are no longer available for RJ Harvey

While it has been a slow burn to get RJ Harvey into the fantasy-relevant zone this season, the rookie RB has put together back-to-back weeks of top-12 RB finishes. What is interesting about those two weeks is how differently Harvey was able to find production to provide useful fantasy days. In Week 8, Harvey found the end zone twice on the ground to boost his fantasy production. Last week, though, Harvey only saw two carries but added five receptions and a receiving TD to propel him into the top 12 again. While the opportunities aren’t necessarily increasing to where Harvey is taking over the lead RB role from JK Dobbins, having a nose for the end zone and consistently contributing in the passing game has made him a FLEX consideration from week to week.

If Harvey is going to continue his hot streak of fantasy performances, he will have a decent matchup at home against the Raiders to do so. Las Vegas hasn’t given up a ton of yardage on the ground, but has allowed the 2nd-most rushing TDs in the league despite allowing the 6th-lowest yards per carry. For fantasy, the Raiders have allowed a top-24 RB finish in five of their last six games, including two just last week to the Jaguars. While fantasy managers hate to take a big risk on a Thursday night, Harvey could have some real FLEX appeal this week again.

Tyrone Tracy Jr.

Tyrone Tracy Jr.

RB - NYG

The opportunity that came to Tyrone Tracy with the injury to Cam Skattebo didn’t really pay off for fantasy last week like some fantasy managers would have hoped. While Tracy assumed the starter role, he played fewer snaps than Devin Singletary and finished with fewer fantasy points and total yards. Really, the only area that Tracy was better in for the Giants was in the passing game, where he made his money for fantasy managers last season when he saw 53 total targets.

Any door for Tracy to hold on to the confidence of fantasy managers going forward will be closed after this week, especially if he can’t make the most of a decent matchup against the Bears. Chicago’s defense is one of just 10 teams in the league to have allowed over 1,000 rushing yards this season, though they the only one of those teams to have allowed just six rushing TDs. For fantasy, the Bears haven’t been a homerun matchup for RBs, only allowing three usable fantasy weeks in their last six games to RBs, though they have given up top-10 RB finishes in back-to-back weeks. Still, Tracy feels like a risky play for fantasy managers this week and is a FLEX play at best.

Wide Receivers

Keenan Allen

After a hot start to the season, things have cooled down for Keenan Allen in the Chargers’ offense. Allen started the year finishing as a top-24 RB in each of his first three games, but he has only topped 10+ fantasy points once in his last six games. Even with his dip in production, Allen still has the sixth-highest target per route run rate in the league, so he is still steadily seeing passes come his way. The issue for fantasy really seems to be whether or not Allen gets into the end zone, as those are the only times he’s been productive for fantasy managers.

If getting into the end zone is the target for Allen this week, he will have a decent chance against the Steelers. Pittsburgh’s defense has been hot and cold this season, making it difficult to predict when fantasy managers should target them. While the Steelers have allowed the 4th-most passing yards in the league, they’ve only given up 14 passing TDs. For fantasy, though, Pittsburgh has given up usable fantasy weeks to WRs. Over their last three games, the Steelers have allowed a pair of opposing WRs to finish inside the top-15 on the week. While it may mean fantasy managers are playing a game of Chargers WR roulette, Allen should be in lineups this week.

@ HOU
draft rankings are no longer available for Parker Washington

With the changing WR environment in Jacksonville, Parker Washington has made the most of his opportunity over the last several weeks. In his last two games, Washington has seen a total of 19 targets and turned in a WR20 finish just last week against the Raiders without getting into the end zone. While the Jags did bring in Jakobi Meyers this week, with Brian Thomas Jr’s status up in the air, Washington figures to be the main target in the passing game for Week 10.

A matchup against the Texans might not be the time for Washington to be a real option for fantasy managers this week. Houston’s defense has allowed the 3rd-fewest passing yards in the league this season and are just one of five teams to allow eight or fewer passing TDs. For fantasy, the Texans have been a huge problem for WRs, only allowing two top-24 WR finishes on the year and none in their last two games. While Washington should have some real opportunity going forward in the Jaguars’ offense, this week is probably not the time to work him into a starting lineup.

The offense in San Francisco has not been what fantasy managers may have expected coming into the season, especially with the availability in the passing game for WRs like Jauan Jennings. Jennings has struggled to follow up his breakout season from 2024, battling injury to start 2025. When he’s been on the field, though, Jennings has been involved in the 49ers offense plenty, averaging nearly six targets per game, though he’s only finished inside the top-24 WRs twice on the year. The main piece missing from Jennings’ production has been getting into the end zone. While the 49ers sit in the middle of the pack for passing TDs this season, Jennings is the only WR to have caught a TD.

If getting back into the end zone is the requirement for Jennings having a successful fantasy week, he will have a tough assignment against the Rams this week. Los Angeles has allowed the 6th-fewest passing TDs in the league and is one of only two teams in the league that have given up just one passing play over 40 yards. For fantasy, that has made the Rams a tough matchup to predict. In their last six games, LA has allowed five top-24 WRs, but have only allowed one in their last three games. Jennings wasn’t active the first time these two teams played, but Kendrick Bourne did have a big fantasy day against LA in Week 5 the last time these two teams met, so Jennings could be worth a spot in lineups this week.

Tight Ends

Dalton Kincaid

The breakout that fantasy managers have been waiting for from Dalton Kincaid may finally be happening. Since Kincaid was a 1st-Round pick for the Bills, the fantasy community has been waiting for him to take over the lead receiving role for Josh Allen, and he’s finally doing so, leading the team in receiving yards and TDs through their first eight games. Kincaid has been solid for fantasy as well, finishing as a top-12 TE in five of the seven games he’s played in this season. What’s more encouraging for the sustained success from Kincaid is the nearly five targets per game he’s turning into nearly 60 receiving yards per game.

Kincaid should have a shot at continuing his fantasy success this week against a Dolphins defense that has been a strong matchup for TEs. Miami’s defense has allowed 10+ fantasy points to opposing teams’ TEs in six of their eight games this season, so there’s a decent baseline for fantasy production. Over their last six games, the Dolphins have only allowed a top-12 TE finish twice, both of which came within the last two weeks. Kincaid took full advantage of this matchup earlier this season, finishing as the TE3 back in Week 3, and should be considered a strong TE play again this week.

Mark Andrews

The absence of Lamar Jackson really did a number on the fantasy production for all of the receiving options in Baltimore, especially the potential for Mark Andrews to produce. While Jackson was injured, Andrews averaged just 30 yards per game and never scored more than seven fantasy points in a given week. It may be tough for fantasy managers to reinstate their belief in Andrews as a consistent fantasy TE option, but the remaining schedule down the stretch of the season lines up as the best for fantasy TEs in the league, playing just one team that’s allowing less than 10 fantasy points per game to the position.

Andrews’ great schedule starts this week at home with a matchup against the Vikings. Minnesota’s defense has allowed the 7th-fewest passing yards in the league, so this isn’t a volume play for Andrews. Over their last four games, the Vikings have allowed 16+ fantasy points to opposing teams’ WRs three times, which has turned into three top-7 TE finishes and, more importantly, four TDs to TEs. It may be tough to chase the TD production that made Andrews a strong play last week, but Andrews should be in lineups for fantasy managers again this week.
