Welcome to the Target Trends article for Week 10! We’re into the double-digit weeks; let’s start, as usual, by looking at the season-long target leaders to this point.

Ja’Marr Chase continues to lead all players with 107 targets, which is 20 more than Chris Olave, who checks in second with 87. Chase also leads on a per-game basis, averaging 11.9 targets/game. Drake London is not far behind, averaging 11.0 targets/game in just seven games played. Puka Nacua is the only other player averaging double-digit targets at 10.4 targets/game.

Christian McCaffrey leads all RBs and is the third most targeted player overall with 80 targets so far. That’s 20 more than the second-place RB De’Von Achane and his 60 targets. With 52 targets, Bijan Robinson is the only other RB above 50.

The league’s two most targeted TEs faced off Monday night. Trey McBride out-targeted Jake Ferguson 9-7, increasing his total to 75 on the season. Ferguson remains second with 66 targets. No other TE is above 60, though there are five with 50+ targets so far.

I will continue to lead off this article with season-long target leaders each week, but for now, let’s check out this week’s target trends heading into Week 10.

Drake London: 14 targets, 9 rec
Bijan Robinson: 10 targets, 8 rec

It’s no shock to find these two at the top of the list. The offense runs through London and Robinson, who have a combined 53% target share. You already know that they are both set-and-forget fantasy starters, but it is worth mentioning just how much passing game volume they are receiving.

Chase Brown: 14 targets, 8 rec

Brown’s 14 targets in the wild shootout against Chicago set a new career-high, which was previously 11 targets in Week 10 last season. It was likely a product of game flow, as he had seen just nine targets combined in his first three games with Joe Flacco under center. Even with Brown leading the way, there were still plenty of targets for Ja’Marr Chase (8) and Tee Higgins (9) to have successful fantasy production.

Brock Bowers: 13 targets, 12 rec

Welcome back, Brock! The stud TE exploded with his first double-digit target performance of the season, though it’s not something he is unfamiliar with. Bowers logged 10+ targets seven times last year as a rookie, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him average that many the rest of the way this season.

Alec Pierce: 13 targets, 6 rec
Michael Pittman Jr. 12 targets, 9 rec

Pierce has now seen double-digit targets in two of the past three weeks. His 17-game pace would put him at 109 targets, which would be 31 more than his career-high of 78 in his rookie season. As for Pittman, he is on pace for 128 targets, which he’s topped in three of his five seasons. However, he is currently the WR6 on the season, thanks in large part to already tying his career high with six TDs so far.

Amon-Ra St. Brown – 13 targets, 9 rec

Ho-hum, another double-digit target game for St. Brown, a mark he has hit in three consecutive games. ARSB is up to a 32% target share on the season, the fifth-highest in the league. His 74 targets easily lead Detroit, 30 more than Sam LaPorta (44) and 38 more than Jameson Williams (36).

Nico Collins: 11 targets, 7 rec

Collins picked up right where he left off after missing last week with a concussion. His 11 targets tied his season high from Week 3, but his 75 TD-less receiving yards were only enough for a WR26 finish on the week. That could be in part because eight of the targets came from Davis Mills after C.J. Stroud exited with a concussion.

Wan’Dale Robinson: 11 targets, 9 rec

Robinson turned his 11 targets into just 46 receiving yards this week, fewer than the 48 he had on just four targets the week before. His 68 targets so far this season easily lead the Naber-less Giants, giving him a relatively safe floor, especially in PPR leagues. His ceiling isn’t bad either, as he has two WR1 finishes through nine games.

Marvin Harrison Jr.: 10 targets, 7 rec

Harrison had his best game of the year, tying his season-high with ten targets and converting them into a career-high seven catches. Arizona made a point to involve him early, targeting him five times in the first quarter alone. He finished the game with a season-high 34% target share. This success came with Jacoby Brissett, so it will be interesting to monitor Arizona’s QB situation in the coming weeks.

De’Von Achane: 10 targets, 6 rec

Achane is on pace for 113 targets, which would be more than any RB has seen in a season since he entered the league in 2023. Of course, Christian McCaffrey is outpacing him, but Achane’s passing game role is helping him remain one of the most consistent players in fantasy football. He is the RB5 on the season, and his worst weekly finish was as the RB17 in Week 7 against Cleveland.

Romeo Doubs: 10 targets, 7 rec

Ten Packers pass catchers keep getting hurt, and Doubs just keeps getting targets. Jayden Reed is still out, Matthew Golden has a bum shoulder, Dontayvion Wicks has missed the last two weeks with an ankle injury, and Tucker Kraft is out for the season with a torn ACL. Doubs was already arguably the WR1 for Jordan Love before the injury chaos, and that role should be secure for the foreseeable future.

Troy Franklin: 10 targets, 4 rec

The fantasy production was not there this week, but Franklin has now seen 28 targets over the past three weeks. As pointed out by Dan Lovi in his weekly article, he has accumulated seven more targets than teammate Courtland Sutton over the last four weeks. While Sutton won’t be going away, there may be something to Bo Nix shifting his focus to his former collegiate teammate.

Parker Washington: 9 targets, 8 rec

Washington has now seen 19 targets over the past two games. With Travis Hunter on IR, Brian Thomas Jr. battling an ankle injury, Dyami Brown in concussion protocol, and Brenton Strange dealing with a hip injury, those aren’t likely to go away in the near future. It is a tough matchup with Houston in Week 10, but Washington is one of the last pass-catchers standing for Jacksonville.

Rashid Shaheed: 9 targets, 4 rec
Chris Olave: 4 targets, 3 rec

Tyler Shough’s first start wasn’t good for any of the Saints, but Chris Olave may have had the worst of it. The league’s second-most targeted player saw a season-low four targets in the rookie QB’s debut. Shaheed has now seen at least nine targets in three consecutive games, but has failed to turn them into more than 10.0 fantasy points. It will be tough to trust any New Orleans pass-catcher unless we see improvement from Shough.

Olamide Zaccheaus: 8 targets, 6 rec
Rome Odunze: 3 targets, 0 rec

It was frustrating for Odunze managers to see Zaccheaus targeted eight times while the second-year WR put up a goose egg on three targets. It should be noted that Odunze was dealing with coverage from DJ Turner much of the game, one of the lone bright spots on Cincinnati’s defense. There should be brighter days ahead for Odunze.

DK Metcalf: 4 targets, 2 rec

The Steelers paid Metcalf to be their stud WR this offseason, though they aren’t exactly targeting him like one. He has a 20.3% target share on the season, which is fine but far from elite. In Week 9, he hit a new low with just an 11% target share. He was out-targeted by TE Darnell Washington, who is known more for his blocking than receiving prowess. Metcalf can still hit home runs, but he will be boom-or-bust if the target volume doesn’t increase.

Mark Andrews: 2 targets, 2 rec

The fantasy points look great, as Andrews finished as the TE5 in Week 9, but the usage was concerning. He saw just three targets for the third time in the last four games and played a season low 50% of Baltimore’s offensive snaps. He will likely be a disappointment any week that he doesn’t find the end zone.
