Believe it or not, we’re past one-third of the regular season, and it’s time to make the necessary adjustments to our rosters to prepare them for the final stretch and secure a nice spot in the playoffs. Am I comfortable with my current team? Do I have plain confidence in starting, say, Patrick Mahomes every week? Could there be a streamer that might give me a little bit more upside? Those are the kinds of questions we need to ask ourselves to get the most points out of every position.

That’s what this weekly article is all about. Here, you’ll find some QB, K, D/ST, and TE streaming options to help you squeeze as many points as possible from every position in your roster. This week we only have two teams on bye, the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears, so there are some interesting streamers all across the board.

As always, don’t forget to check Andy, Mike, and Jason’s weekly rankings for further reference. And if you need specific spot-start recommendations for your roster, I strongly suggest taking a look at the Ultimate Dashboard on the Fantasy Footballers website.

Quarterbacks

Drake MayeNew England Patriots (14% rostered)

Drake Maye had a very solid debut, completing 20 out of 33 passes for 243 yards and three touchdowns. He even added some rushing production with five carries for 38 yards. But not everything was pretty. The rookie turned the ball over four times. Still, we might have a new occasional fantasy streamer on our hands here. This week, he’ll have an easy chance to continue proving himself against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have allowed the most fantasy points to opposing QBs.

Andy DaltonCarolina Panthers (15% rostered)

In this crazy fantasy football season, Andy Dalton has become one of the decent quarterbacks to stream on favorable matchups. He has thrown at least two touchdowns in all but one of his 2024 starts, and he’ll face the Washington Commanders, who have been terrible at defending the passing game, allowing 2.2 passing touchdowns per game on average this season. The ceiling might not be super high, but if the Red Rifle keeps targeting Diontae Johnson and Xavier Legette, he should deliver solid numbers this week.

Daniel JonesNew York Giants (28% rostered)

After looking pretty good against Seattle, Danny Dimes once again struggled against the Bengals in a very low-scoring prime-time game. But his rushing ability can help him raise his floor, and he even has some interesting upside as a streamer in good matchups. This week, he’ll have a divisional showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles, which is still one of the best matchups for QBs. Malik Nabers should be back from the concussion protocol this week, which would also raise Daniel Jones’ ceiling.

Kickers

Jason MyersSeattle Seahawks (30% rostered)

After struggling for three consecutive weeks with missed attempts and blocked kicks, Jason Myers finally had a perfect game against the 49ers, nailing one field goal and three extra points. Next week, opportunity should knock on his door many times in a potential shootout against the Falcons, who have been on fire lately. This game is expected to see around 48 total points according to Vegas, and even though Seattle is the underdog, Myers should get enough kicks to be a good streaming option.

Jake BatesDetroit Lions (23% rostered)

Seriously, this might be the last call to get who I consider this season’s Brandon Aubrey. After his monstrous 19 fantasy point performance against the Cowboys, the great majority of fantasy managers will finally start noticing him. This Lions team has been and will continue to be involved in high-scoring games. Their game against the Vikings has the week’s highest over/under line. Do yourself a favor and start Jake Bates this Sunday.

Will ReichardMinnesota Vikings (4% rostered)

While we’re at it, let’s talk about the kicker from the team on the other side of the ball. Will Reichard is another almost unknown kicker who has been pretty good for fantasy this season, thanks to how explosive the Vikings’ offense has been. But getting the opportunities is just half the task. Reichard hasn’t missed a single kick and has already scored over 10 fantasy points three times this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if he logs a fourth one this week against the Detroit Lions.

Defense & Special Teams

Miami Dolphins (18% rostered)

Yes, the Dolphins have not been great since they lost Tua. But they’ve been so abysmal on offense that opposing teams have not needed to score a lot of points to be competitive against them. Besides, this week they will be rested and Anthony Richardson might be back as the Colts’ QB, which has been good news to opposing D/ST this season. Richardson has been intercepted six times and sacked four times in only four games. The Dolphins should have a solid floor this week as a streaming D/ST.

New England Patriots (6% rostered)

Before Drake Maye’s debut, most Patriots games this season had been low-scoring snooze fests. Their more-than-decent defense was, of course, partly responsible for that. This week they will play against the Jaguars, who have been struggling on offense this season. Their O-line has allowed opposing defenses to sack Trevor Lawrence 15 times this season. It might not sound exciting, but New England is a good streamer this week.

Indianapolis Colts (13% rostered)

Since Tua Tagovailoa left the field with a concussion in Week 2, the Dolphins have been really bad offensively. They managed to get a win against the Titans before their bye week, but their QB Tyler Huntley wasn’t able to surpass 200 passing yards and did just the bare minimum to win the game. Tua isn’t eligible to return until Week 8, so the Colts should be able to contain this offense and sack Huntley at least a couple of times.

BONUS: Tight End

Zach Ertz (36% rostered)

There are very few sure things in this very dark world called the tight-end position. But one of them is Zach Ertz’s volume. The scheme the Washington Commanders are running relies partly on targeting their TE. He’s had at least four targets in five out of six games this season. He hasn’t scored a touchdown yet, but he has a very nice matchup this week against the Carolina Panthers, who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game on average to the position.

Cade Otton (42% rostered)

Not as available, but worth mentioning in case you can grab him in your league, Cade Otton has had some very interesting utilization this season as Baker Mayfield’s third option in an offense that has been scoring a lot of points. He finally scored a touchdown last Sunday, and this week Baker might look at him more than usual when they face the Ravens, who have allowed the second-most yards to tight ends this season. He should be a fine streamer.

Hunter Henry (25% rostered)

Ok, this is an interesting week for streaming TEs, so let’s look at one more. After what Cole Kmet did last week against the Jaguars, I wouldn’t be surprised if rookie quarterback Drake Maye peppers Hunter Henry with targets. He had a very solid usage and production last week against the Texans, including his first touchdown of the season. If you need a spot-start this week, Hunter Henry might be a good streaming option.
