Bye weeks are almost over! And after that horrible byepocalypse, this week is actually looking pretty mild. Only the Cardinals and Commanders will be on bye and then we’re done. Some of you might have been rolling with Sam Howell or Kyler Murray for the past few weeks, or maybe you just have been playing the streaming game for a while now. In any case, we’ve got you covered. This is the last week of the regular season in most fantasy leagues so let’s try to get a win and a better playoff seed!

This weekly article offers some viable options for the most streamable roster spots: QB, K, and D/ST, to help you get as many points as possible from these positions. However, if you need further help at other positions or you can’t decide between two or more players, you can always check Andy, Mike, and Jason’s weekly rankings and the Fantasy Footballers Start/Sit Tool

Let’s take a look at some streamers for Week 14!

Quarterbacks

Gardner MinshewIndianapolis Colts (27% rostered)

Yes, Minshew might not be the perfect QB. He lost a fumble this past Sunday near the goal line, but he was a very serviceable streamer. He eclipsed the 300-yard mark for the third time this season and scored two TDs. He has been building great chemistry with his wide receivers and he should continue on this streamable path this week when he faces the Cincinnati Bengals, who have allowed 20.1 fantasy points per game to the position over the past four weeks.

Joe FlaccoCleveland Browns (7% rostered)

Who would’ve thought Joe Flacco would be a streamer to consider this season? He did a very good job this past Sunday after Dorian Thompson-Robinson was ruled out with a concussion, completing 23 of 44 passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns. Kevin Stefanski has not named a starter for Week 14 yet, which means DTR could still be in consideration if he can clear the concussion protocol. But come on Kevin! You know Flacco is the best option for your team and our fantasy rosters! This week the Browns will play against the Jaguars, who have allowed the fourth most fantasy points on average to QBs this season.

Baker MayfieldTampa Bay Buccaneers (59% rostered)

Last week Baker disappointed a lot of fantasy managers who put their hopes on him to save them from the byepocalypse. But despite being a bad team in general, the Panthers are one of the worst matchups for opposing QBs. Only Baltimore has allowed fewer points per game to signal callers than Carolina. This week, Baker Mayfield will get a much easier matchup against the Falcons, who have allowed more than 20 fantasy points on average to QBs over the past four weeks. We’ve seen Baker’s ceiling in favorable matchups. He’s got the weapons to be a decent streamer this week.

Russell WilsonDenver Broncos (67% rostered)

Good old Mr. Unlimited was having a great game last week against the Texans. He was going to be the hero of the day but somehow he threw three interceptions and lost the game after having not thrown a single pick in six straight weeks. We could still say he delivered the goods as a streamer with 18.8 fantasy points. Wilson has passed for over 200 yards only once since Week 5, but he should be able to do it again this week against the Chargers, who have allowed the second-most passing yards this season.

Kickers

Riley PattersonDetroit Lions (54% rostered)

If you want a kicker to stream this week and then keep on your rosters during the playoffs, Riley Patterson might be your guy. He had two disappointing weeks but they were not his fault. Jared Goff and the Lions’ offense didn’t provide their kicker with enough scoring opportunities in those games. But he has nailed all his kicks since the bye week and plays in a high-powered offense that is constantly projected to score a lot of points. That’s always a good scenario for kickers. According to Vegas, this week Detroit is expected to score around 26 points, making Patterson a solid streamer. Then he’ll get Denver, Minnesota, and a high-scoring affair against the Cowboys in championship week, so I’m sure we’ll keep talking about him here.

Jake MoodySan Francisco 49ers (36% rostered)

Last week the 49ers destroyed the Eagles, providing big-time fantasy value to almost all their key players. Sadly, Jake Moody only got six points, since he only attempted six PATs and no field goals. The good news is he was once again perfect. Moody plays for such an elite offensive team that shouldn’t be as available as he is. Better days are coming for him, starting this week against the Seahawks. This divisional standoff has a 44 over/under line and the 49ers are 10.5-point favorites. Jake Moody is a green-light kicker this week according to the kicker categorization I mentioned in the first articles of this series. Let’s just hope he gets at least a couple of field-goal attempts.

Cameron DickerLos Angeles Chargers (59% rostered)

Dicker the Kicker was the Chargers’ hero last week, as he was the only player to put points on a very low 6-0 scoreboard. This was an anomalous game for the Chargers, who usually need to constantly put points on the board to keep up with the insane amount of points scored against them. This was not the case against the Patriots, but Dicker once again did what was asked of him and still hasn’t failed a kick attempt since Week 3. This Sunday the Chargers will be home favorites against the Broncos in a game with one of the most interesting over/under lines. If he’s still available in your league, grab this trustworthy kicker.

Wil LutzDenver Broncos (39% rostered)

The Broncos’ winning streak ended last week when Russell Wilson threw an unfortunate interception that sealed their loss against the Texans. But during that streak, Wil Lutz was great for fantasy, finishing as a top-five kicker in each of those five games. He hasn’t missed a field goal since Week 8 and should be able to bounce back up this week against the Chargers in what should be a high-scoring game by this season’s standards.

Tyler BassBuffalo Bills (51%)

What? The Bills’ kicker in a streaming article? Yes, last week’s byes were so savage that a lot of people had to drop their elite kickers to make space for some one-week rentals. Tyler Bass has not been perfect this season, but the Bills are constantly expected to play in high-scoring games and this week will not be an exception. They’ll face the Kansas City Chiefs in what’s projected to be a 48-point shootout, so he should get plenty of opportunities in this game. Pick him up if he’s available and while you’re at it, take a look at Justin Tucker and Harrison Butker, in case someone dropped them during their bye week.

Defense & Special Teams

Green Bay Packers (13% rostered)

The improvement in Jordan Love’s game has given the Packers’ defense time to rest and perform decently even in complicated matchups. They have eight sacks in the past three weeks and this Monday night they’ll face the New York Giants, who still lead the NFL with 69 sacks allowed. It’s the juiciest matchup for opposing D/ST.

Houston Texans (9% rostered)

Since Robert Saleh decided to bench Zach Wilson, the New York Jets have become an ideal matchup to target for D/ST. Who will it be this week? Trevor Siemian? Tim Boyle? Another chance wor Wilson? It doesn’t matter. The Jets have allowed 19.2 fantasy points per game to the position over the past four weeks. The Texans defense has proved to be a good streamer in good matchups and it doesn’t get any better than this one.

New Orleans Saints (32% rostered)

The Saints’ defense has been less consistent than we all expected, and after scoring zero fantasy points last week fantasy managers might be hesitant to start them. But they’re playing the Carolina Panthers, who have allowed the third-most sacks and interceptions during the past month. The Panthers’ rookie QB Bryce Young has thrown only nine touchdowns and just as many interceptions, not to mention the 44 times he’s been sacked. The Saints are a solid streaming option this week.

Jacksonville Jaguars (68% rostered)

On Monday night, the Jaguars D/ST was surprised by an unexpectedly good Jake Browning who had a brilliant performance both in real life and fantasy. But Jacksonville’s defense is good and this week they’ll face whoever is named the Browns’ quarterback. Joe Flacco proved to be a much better option than Dorian Thompson-Robinson, but he wasn’t flawless and Kevin Stefanksi seems inclined to start the rookie if he clears the league’s protocol. If DTR is named the starter, the Jaguars will be one of this week’s most appealing streaming options.
