Exits Wednesday's practice with trainer

Warren suffered an apparent groin injury during Wednesday's practice, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Warren went down Wednesday and had a noticeable limp while leaving the practice field with a trainer, reaching at his right groin as he did so, per Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis. The extent of the injury isn't known, but Warren could be in danger of missing multiple practices with roughly three-and-a-half weeks to go until the Colts' regular-season opener against the Ravens on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Won't return during training camp

Head coach Shane Steichen said Sunday that he doesn't expect Pierce (ankle) to return during joint practices leading up to the Colts' second preseason game against the Falcons on Saturday, so Pierce will have missed all of training camp, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Two turnovers in preseason tie

Richardson got the start in Thursday's 13-13 preseason tie with the Patriots, completing 11 of 14 passes for 145 yards and an interception while adding 53 rushing yards and a touchdown on six carries. He also lost a fumble.
