Reasonably effective in spot duty
Glennon entered Sunday's 44-20 loss to the Cowboys for Daniel Jones (concussion) with 2:51 remaining in the second quarter and completed 16 of 25 passes for 196 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. He also rushed twice for two yards and fumbled once but recovered.
The veteran was pressed into action for the first time all season and performed reasonably well considering he was working without New York's top three receivers and Saquon Barkley (ankle). Glennon averaged a solid 7.8 yards per attempt and connected with Barkley's replacement Devontae Booker for a three-yard scoring toss late in the fourth quarter. One of Glennon's two interceptions did result in a pick-six, however, although it came with 1:28 remaining and the game already out of reach. The 31-year-old could be set for another start in Week 6 against the tough Rams defense if Jones is unable to clear concussion protocol in time for that contest.
