Trade Targets for Week 14 (Fantasy Football)
The 2025 Thanksgiving games gave us all we could ask for, making this a truly great holiday week. Here’s hoping you enjoyed the games, steered clear of talking politics with your family, and made it to and from your destination safely. After decades of being Team Ham > Turkey, I tried my first fried turkey this Thanksgiving, and it has me questioning everything.
We have likely reached the final week of the regular season in your fantasy league, and this may be your last chance to determine if you are a contender or a rebuilder in dynasty. In my dynasty leagues, there has been a flurry of trades made by teams positioning themselves for a playoff run and/or to pick up future draft picks.
One thing I’ll note from my own experience: don’t expect the trade calculators to help you too much this time of year. You’re going to have to pay up to get a player who might get you a championship, and the team sending him to you knows it just as much as you do. For instance, I just sent Jalen Coker and a 2026 first-rounder for A.J. Brown. The calculators will say that the first-round pick alone should have been an even trade for Brown, but his manager felt otherwise, and I needed to add someone who might deliver strong performances this year. On the flip side, this is where you can extract maximum value for the vets on your rebuilder team, and you can (and should) go big on your initial asking prices.
Players to Trade For
Derrick Henry (Contender)
It’s snowing in Vermont – need I say more? The Ravens offense has been absolutely off since Lamar Jackson returned from his hamstring injury, but Henry has been able to mask the team’s passing woes with four rushing TDs in the last three games. He is the offense at this point.
The good news is that even if the passing game falters, Henry can still be efficient; if the passing game picks back up, Henry will face lighter boxes and continue posting big games. We don’t know what the future holds, but Father Time has thus far been on the receiving end of one of Henry’s signature stiff arms. You may be able to get yet another great season or two out of him, making this a slam-dunk trade target.

Justin Jefferson (Rebuilder)
Raise your hand if you think Justin Jefferson is just done… I realize that the QB situation in Minnesota is pretty dreadful right now, but as the Ballers have pointed out, nearly every legendary WR has gone through seasons with poor QB play. Eventually, they all bounce back.
I’ve got Jefferson on a contender team, and I’m honestly considering benching him until further notice. I get that he’s absolutely killing teams right now. But I’m not considering trading him away for pennies on the dollar. I think he is still a great target for a rebuilder team, as he’s still a young 26 years old, and WRs like Jefferson are typically able to play at a high level well into their 30s (hello, Davante Adams). I don’t know exactly how the Vikings will address the QB position in 2026, but at a minimum, they’ve got to bring in a startable journeyman to compete with JJ McCarthy. Here’s hoping Flacco, Jameis, or any number of other gunslingers are up to the task.

A.J. Brown (Contender & Rebuilder)
I was on record recommending people trade away A.J. Brown way back in Week 4. Save for one explosive game against Minnesota in Week 7, that was great advice (it was one of my better articles, if it weren’t for George Pickens – the bane of my existence!). Great advice, that is, until Week 12. And then Week 13. The squeaky wheel has definitely gotten the grease in Philadelphia, to the tune of 33 targets in the last three weeks. He’s still a bit of a shaky start, as we’ve seen him completely disappear from the game plan on several occasions this year (part of my rationale for trading him away earlier in the season), but I’m hopeful he will finish strong down the stretch. Plus, he’s got a great playoffs schedule against LV, @WAS, and @BUF.
The real question comes this offseason. There are rumors that this situation is just untenable in the long term. Does that mean that A.J. is shopped this offseason? Does he request a trade? Or do the Eagles make another championship run and smooth everything over?
I believe there is plenty of good football ahead for A.J. His contract runs through 2029 (yikes!), but the deal becomes much more team-friendly after the 2027 season. Maybe another team snags him for the 2026 and 2027 seasons, knowing they could keep him longer if things work out well? I wonder what Mike Vrabel is up to these days… Don’t they have a history together?

Players to Trade Away
Travis Etienne (Rebuilder)
Etienne has been turning it on recently, looking more like his 2023 self than his 2024 self. The new coach and scheme, coupled with the drafting of Bhayshul Tuten, have me petrified that Etienne is not long for this role. He has been able to mostly stave off Tuten this season, but Etienne is a free agent this offseason, and I’m not sure Jacksonville is going to pay up to keep him. If he goes to another team, what’s to say he isn’t in some sort of 50/50 timeshare? Too many long-term questions for me. So if I am rebuilding in dynasty, I’ll offer Etienne to every contender in my league for a first-round pick (remember, throw the trade calculator out the window – they are chasing immortality!).
Jauan Jennings (Rebuilder)
I have actually been a Jennings fan the last few years, as it looks like he has great chemistry with Brock Purdy, and he’s one of the only pass-catchers who can mostly stay healthy in San Francisco. But I think this team kind of hates him (after getting punched in the junk for being an a-hole, I can see why…), and I think they are desperate for any other WR to step up and outshine Jennings. That hasn’t really happened thus far, so I do still believe he’s an asset rest of season. But I’m not sure what the future holds for Jennings. When he demanded more money, the team basically offered him a pack of Doritos to stay. If he leaves the comfy confines of the San Francisco offense this offseason, I have zero faith in him ever returning value similar to what we’ve seen these last two years. I’d try to ship Jennings to a contender for a younger player and/or a second-round pick.
Quentin Johnston (Contender)
It has been a wild ride with “Queje” this season. We wrote him off after two dud seasons to begin his career. Then he came out and lit the world on fire through the first four weeks of the season. And then, just as quickly as he appeared, he vanished into the ether. Two goose eggs and two games under seven half-PPR points, mixed in with a few WR30ish performances, have me hesitant regarding QJ’s future. Sure, Keenan Allen is probably done after this season. Sure, Justin Herbert and the entire offensive line have been battling injuries this year. But don’t forget that this team drafted two WRs in the first five rounds of the 2025 draft, and rookie Oronde Gadsden has also shown a spark. I’m back to believing that QJ will be inconsistent long-term, so if I can sell him to a rebuilder by pitching that he’s still only 24 years old, I’m doing it. I’d shoot him over to the Derrick Henry owner and see what I might need to sprinkle on top to make that deal happen. If it’s anything in the third round or later, I’m smashing the deal and chasing a championship.
