Targets Per Route Run Report: Week 11 (Fantasy Football)
Welcome back to the TPRR report. As a refresher, Targets Per Route Run, or TPRR, is a metric that quantifies a player’s efficiency in earning targets. For wide receivers, a target is the most important underlying metric to predict consistent fantasy output, so a player’s ability to earn these targets at a high rate is key. Historically, a 20% TPRR is a good minimum threshold we want to see, and the best of the best consistently see TPRRs north of 30%.
Let’s take a look at the past week’s leaders, noting again that TPRR is only part of the story.

*Data: pff.com
Week 10 Reactions
Courtland Sutton (28% TPRR) comes through again in Week 10, as Bo Nix continues to get Denver fans excited for the future, if not the present. Over the last three games, Sutton is fantasy’s WR2, behind only Ja’Marr Chase. His goose egg in Week 7 is firmly in the rearview mirror.
Josh Downs (36%) lives at the top of the TPRR rankings this season and would have had a better fantasy week had he held onto a touchdown pass from Joe Flacco. Unfortunately for Downs and the Colts’ offense, OC Shane Steichen announced Wednesday that Anthony Richardson has been given the starter role for the remainder of the season. They’ve backtracked before, but it will be hard to trust an Indy receiver.
Puka Nacua (31%) locked back in as the top receiving option for Matthew Stafford. With Nacua at full strength, Cooper Kupp (18% TPRR) falls more to the WR2 range, but with obvious upside.
Season’s Greetings
Team Focus: San Francisco 49ers
Christian McCaffrey is back, so what will the offense look like for the home stretch? CMC saw an 88% snap share, relegating Jordan Mason and Isaac Guerendo to the memory dump.
Ricky Pearsall will get all the attention, but his 20% TPRR tells us not to invest in the timeshare yet. Jauan Jennings leads 49er receivers in earning targets, and his 25% TPRR places him in the top 15 among eligible receivers (full list below.) In practical terms, that means Jennings is being targeted every four routes he’s run thus far. There are a lot of offensive weapons in San Fran, but Jennings will continue to produce if he can keep that earned target rate at that level.
What If Running Backs and Tight Ends Were on the List?
I’m glad you asked. Given the same eligibility parameters as wide receivers, here’s a list of running backs and tight ends who would crack the top 30 in TPRR.

Alvin Kamara leads the group and would come in at number three overall, with De’Von Achane (25% TPRR) as the only other back to make the list. It should come as no surprise that running backs run fewer routes than receivers; for example, compare Ja’Marr Chase (386 routes) to Kamara (220 routes). Tight ends land somewhere in the middle, but their ability to earn targets not only gives you an idea of their hidden upside in a given week but also the consistency and ceiling of receivers on the same team. Of the top-12 receivers in 2024, only Brian Thomas Jr. (WR11) has a teammate on the chart above, and Thomas Jr. has only posted one top-24 week since Engram returned to the lineup in Week 6.
Trades and Byes
The Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Carolina Panthers, and New York Giants are on bye in Week 11. In most leagues, the fantasy regular season has only four weeks left. Players become available as managers scramble for wins. If you are on the playoff bubble, Weeks 12 and 14 are six-teamers and will have a major impact on your chances. Week 11 is the default trade deadline in Sleeper leagues, so managers should be making moves this week.
