Hungry For More: The Fantasy Footballers Predictions for Week 13
If there’s ever been a more fitting week for fantasy managers to want to stuff their bellies full of a large helping of fantasy points, Thanksgiving Week feels like the most appropriate time to do so! When we’re this late into the season and the playoffs are just around the corner, locking in on a player who’s ready to help lead your fantasy roster through the grueling postseason is more valuable than a five star chef on Turkey Day. Luckily, the Ballers don’t do Turkey Trots, but instead stay inside and cook up a trio of players they’re needing another taste of in this week’s Hungry for More!
Each week throughout the season, Andy, Mike and Jason identify a player they’re ready to see go from a nice appetizer to the main course for your fantasy roster!
QB – Tua Tagovailoa (MIA)

Week 12 |
Passing Attempts | Passing Yards | TD |
| 29/40 | 317 |

The path back from injury for Tua Tagovailoa took a little longer to find the groove than most fantasy managers would have wanted, but after his big performance in Week 12 Andy’s got his bib back on for more of this type of the Dolphins offense. Since Tua came back from injury, Miami’s offense has averaged 29 points per game, but Tua wasn’t necessarily lighting things up for fantasy teams. Over the last two weeks though, he’s finished as a top-10 QB in both games and has thrown for 7 TDs with no INTs.
It may be a bit scary depending on Tua through the fantasy playoffs, and the scheduling may be scarier. In his remaining games this fantasy season, the Dolphins face three teams that are allowing negative points against expectation to opposing QBs, including this week against the Packers in Lambeau. Green Bay has only allowed 20+ fantasy points to opposing teams’ QBs twice this season and have held QBs under 10 fantasy points three times in their last five games. Still, if this Miami offense has truly found it’s groove again the matchup may not matter.
Upcoming Schedule: at Green Bay; vs NY Jets; at Houston; vs San Francisco
QB – Jordan Love (GB)

Week 12 |
Passing Attempts | Passing Yards | TD |
| 13/23 | 163 |

Heading to the other side of the field in Lambeau this weekend, Jason is wanting more from Jordan Love and the Packers passing game. During his first full season as a starter, Love was a great fantasy asset, finishing as the QB5 with 36 total TDs. This season though, despite missing two games early in the year, Love’s 17-game pace is actually ahead of his stellar 2023 season, though it doesn’t really feel that way. What’s frustrating for fantasy managers who are trusting Love down the stretch of the season is the lack of big plays in the passing game where he’s averaging just 8.0 yards per attempt.
Love might have a tough task to get back on track for fantasy purposes this week, but being at home is a lift for this Packers offense. When Love has played at home, he’s averaging 261 passing yards and more than 2 passing TDs per game. While the next two weeks are tough matchups against Miami and Detroit, the fantasy playoffs set up nicely for Love with three-straight matchups against teams allowing positive fantasy points above expectation to opposing QBs this season.
Upcoming Schedule: vs Miami; at Detroit; at Seattle; vs New Orleans
RB – Kenneth Walker III (SEA)
| Week 12 | Carries | Rushing Yards | TD |
| 16 | 41 | 0 |
We’re heading back into the zone with Mike this week – THE BONE ZONE. Kenneth Walker III has been elite whenever he’s had the ball in his hands this season, averaging 15.9 fantasy points per game which ranks seventh among RBs. An added bonus to Walker’s game this season has been the 4.7 targets per game he’s seeing, which sits fifth-best among all RBs. The bone Mike has to pick is with KW3’s usage in the red zone for the Seahawks. Last week Zach Charbonnet received both red zone carries for Seattle. Since Seattle’s Bye Week in Week 10, Charbonnet and Walker have the same amount of red zone carries, but Walker is the only one to convert one into a TD.
Looking forward for Walker, fantasy managers will have to hope his efficiency can carry them to the last few weeks of the fantasy playoffs because the matchups over the next month are tough. In three of Seattle’s remaining six games, Walker will face defenses that are allowing negative points below expectation to opposing RBs, with a particularly bad matchup in Week 16 against Minnesota. With any hope, Walker has earned back the extremely valuable red zone touches that he needs to continue to be elite for fantasy managers throughout the fantasy playoffs.
Upcoming Schedule: at NY Jets; at Arizona; vs Green Bay; vs Minnesota
