Won't play Sunday

Price will not play in Sunday's preseason game against the Titans, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.

Not only will Price not play Sunday, but he will also be held out of the Seahawks' preseason finale against the Chiefs this Friday. That means the first time that the rookie first-rounder will see in-game action will be Week 1 against the Patriots on Wednesday, Sept. 9. Price saw limited action in Friday's joint practice with the Titans, and head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters after that practice that Price is "ramping" up his workload over the final weeks of training camp and into the regular season. With Zach Charbonnet (knee) on the PUP list and Price sidelined, George Holani figures to serve as the Seahawks' lead back Sunday, with Velus Jones, Jacardia Wright and Anthony Hankerson also in the mix for snaps.
