If you know me at all then you know that I don’t discuss politics. I’m certainly not about to start now. What I will say is that I recognize that many of you are riding high on an unexpected win, while others are just looking for a way to cope with the disappointment of a tough loss. My hope is that fantasy football can be one of the things that brings us together during such a divisive time. So whether celebrating and looking forward to unwinding with some DFS fun this week or grappling with disappointment and looking for a much-needed distraction here are some picks that might help you out this Sunday. As always this is a list of GPP picks that are cheap to plug into your roster that despite the fact that they could have a big week.

WR J.J. Nelson vs SF, $5,600

Ben“Before the Cardinals bye, J.J. Nelson led the Cardinals in targets in Week 8. He saw 12 targets and a 26.7% target share on his way to 8 catches for 79 yards and 2 TDs. After the game, Bruce Arians confirmed Nelson is now a starting WR. This week, Nelson gets a home matchup against a 49ers defense that is tied for the 4th most pass TDs given up this season.”
-Ben Cummins, @BenCumminsFF

RB Darren Sproles vs ATL, $5,100

brandon“With recent news from Philly that Darren Sproles has usurped Ryan Matthews as the RB1, it would be a disaster if you didn’t pick him up this week and play him against the Falcons with the opportunity to shine in the running and passing game.”
-Brandon Sanders, @brandontsanders

QB Carson Wentz vs ATL, $6,800

Kyle“Wentz is has a luscious matchup this week at home against a Falcons pass defense ranked 31st in the league. Atlanta has also given up the most fantasy points to opposing QBs this season. Doug Pederson has taken some of the reins off the rookie as Wentz attempted 43 and 47 passes his last two games including last week’s 364 yards against the Giants on the road. I like the upside available for Wentz to post top 10 numbers at a bargain basement price. Don’t forget that through the first 3 weeks of this season, Wentz was the QB10, averaging 17.6 fantasy points per contest.”
-Kyle Borgognoni, @kyle_borg

RB C.J. Prosise @ NE, $4,700

TravisIf you checked out today’s weekly snap count article then you saw that C.J. Prosise out snapped Christine Michael 55% to 38%. He seems to have assumed the lead role of this time share. Prosise was a WR during most of his collegiate years and is a very skilled pass catcher and I expect him to be used in that role quite a bit this week. Especially if the Seahawks are trailing the Patriots early in Foxborough which is always a strong possibly.
