I hope you were able to survive another brutal fantasy football week with many low-scoring games and some crazy performances by unexpected players. These are the weeks in which streaming plays an important role in getting you a W. Now it’s time to start looking at Week 4 to find which streamers can boost our fantasy scoring to compensate for how volatile some players are this season. Like every Tuesday, this article will highlight some QB, K, and D/ST streaming options to help you get as many points as possible from these positions.

And, of course, you should also always check Andy, Mike, and Jason’s weekly rankings for further help. And if you want to find the best spot start suggestions for your specific lineup, I can’t recommend you enough to check out the Ultimate Dashboard tool. You won’t regret it.

Let’s dive into the streaming pond for Week 4.

Quarterbacks

Sam DarnoldMinnesota Vikings (38% rostered)

It seems that the fantasy football community simply doesn’t want to pick up Sam Darnold. He is still widely available despite how hard he’s been trying to get noticed: He has scored over 20 fantasy points in two consecutive weeks, he leads the NFL in passing touchdowns, and right now he’s the QB2 in fantasy. What more do we need to believe in him at least as a streamer option? How about the right matchup? The Green Bay Packers have allowed 241 passing yards and 1.5 touchdowns on average to the QB position. I’m pretty sure Sam Darnold is capable of hitting the over on both of those metrics.

Taylor HeinickeLos Angeles Chargers (0% rostered)

Of course, this streaming option depends entirely on Justin Herbert’s health, but if he is forced to miss this week’s game against the Chiefs, Taylor Heinicke could be a sneaky good streamer. We’ve already seen him provide streaming value in the past, especially back when he was the Washington Commanders’ backup QB. As expected, the Jim Harbaugh-led Chargers are leaning heavily on the running game, but this week, they might have to throw the ball to keep up with the Chiefs, who, by the way, have averaged the second-most fantasy points allowed to the QB position over the past three weeks. If you’re desperate for a QB or need a solid SuperFlex option, Heinicke might be a good spot start. Justin Herbert could actually count as a fine streamer as well if he suits up, considering he is available in a good amount of leagues.

Caleb WilliamsChicago Bears (67% rostered)

Since fantasy managers have been dropping him over the past couple of weeks, Caleb Williams has entered the streamer conversation in 33% of leagues. He finally threw his first touchdown and passed for more yards in a game than any other QB this season. But will he keep producing like this during the season? Hard to tell, but in this article, we only care about this week, and he has a very good matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, who have allowed over 19 fantasy points on average to quarterbacks this first three weeks. You could even stream him, cash this week’s points, and then try to sell him high. Who’s with me in this master plan?

Geno SmithSeattle Seahawks (40% rostered)

Geno didn’t blow up for fantasy last week simply because he didn’t need to. The Dolphins were completely nonexistent without Tua Tagovailoa. Still, Smith passed for 289 yards and an amazing 17-yard touchdown to DK Metcalf. Seattle’s offense is looking great and this week Geno Smith will get a very offensive MNF matchup against the Detroit Lions, who remain among the bottom-10 defenses in points allowed to quarterbacks.

Kickers

Austin SeibertWashington Commanders (3% rostered)

Once again, the Commanders will see themselves involved in what projects to be the week’s highest-scoring game in Arizona, where their new kicker should get plenty of opportunities to keep shining. In his debut in Week 2 against the Giants, Austin Seibert scored seven field goals, and yesterday he nailed five extra points and a field goal against the Bengals. Now he’ll have a chance to continue proving what he’s capable of.

Jason Myers (18% rostered)

After last week’s low scores, Vegas lines are a bit conservative this week. Still, the matchup between the Detroit Lions and the Seattle Seahawks has one of the highest over/unders. Jason Myers missed a field goal last week that would’ve kept his average over 10 fantasy points per game. This week he should once again see a lot of opportunities in what should be an exciting offensive duel.

Eddy Pineiro (0% rostered)

So, the Panthers have finally shown some signs of life with Andy Dalton as their QB. He won’t be scoring three touchdowns in every game, but he’ll surely keep the chains moving and putting his team in scoring positions. Vegas agrees with this since the Panther’s matchup against the Bengals is projected to be the second-highest-scoring game of the week. It’s a revenge game for Andy Dalton, so there could be a lot of points scored and, of course, many kicking opportunities.

Defense & Special Teams

Tennessee Titans (7% rostered)

Since they lost Tua, the Dolphins have suddenly become the team to target when streaming D/ST. Last week against the Seahawks, none of Miami’s backup QBs were able to move the ball. All their elite weapons became harmless because they were not able to put the rock in their hands. They might now try something different with their newest acquisition, Tyler Huntley, who’s had just a few days to start learning the playbook. The Titans have not been good at defense, but they can definitely be streamed in this situation.

Denver Broncos (2% rostered)

This Broncos defense is a serious sacking machine. They already have 11 sacks in three games. Their next matchup against the Jets won’t be easy, but Patrick Surtain II is playing at an elite level and will be a problem for Garrett Wilson. If you’re in need of a streamable D/ST, the Broncos will keep doing their best to keep the box score as low as possible.

New Orleans Saints (16%)

Kirk Cousins will have a tough time against this New Orleans defense that has been pretty good these three weeks. They have been able to contain high-powered offenses like the Cowboys and the Eagles. The Falcons should be an easy matchup for this D/ST, who will force them to make some mistakes.

BONUS: Tight End

Tyler ConklinNew York Jets (14% rostered)

Tyler Conklin was the New York Jets’ top receiver in Week 3 with five receptions for 93 yards. A TE that can be fantasy-relevant without needing to score a touchdown is something to consider. This week, the Jets will face the Broncos, who have been around the middle of the pack against TEs. But in this economy, getting around 7.5 points from this position is more than many can ask.
