Fantasy Football: Week 11 Streamers to Consider
With the fantasy playoffs looming closer, we’re entering the hardest bye weeks. This week, we’ve got four M.I.A., and things will only get worse from here: Weeks 12 and 14 are this season’s byepocalypses. Many fantasy managers will have to resort to streaming to secure a high seed in the playoffs.
We won’t be counting on any Cardinals, Panthers, Giants, or Buccaneers this week. So if you’ve been relying on Baker “Laser” Mayfield, you will need to stream a quarterback. But don’t worry. This weekly article will always provide some QB, K, D/ST, and at least one TE to stream and help you get as many points as possible from all these onesie positions.
And, of course, if you need further help deciding between two or more players, you should always check Andy, Mike, and Jason’s weekly rankings. And please do yourself a favor and sync your lineup in the amazing Ultimate Dashboard tool to get spot-start suggestions and waiver wire recommendations based on your specific roster.
Let’s find ourselves some streamers for this week.
Quarterbacks
Russell Wilson – Pittsburgh Steelers (30% rostered)
There’s no better streaming option this week than Mr. Unlimited. Even though he had some accuracy issues last Sunday against the Commanders, he has been good enough to keep the starting job and provide fantasy goodness in the right matchups. And he has one of the best possible matchups this week against the Baltimore Ravens. Last week, they allowed Joe Burrow to do whatever he wanted all around the field. Ja’Marr Chase was running free in almost every play. And they’ve been like this all season. This secondary has some serious work to do if they want to be serious Super Bowl contenders. This week, Russell Wilson will have a field day and I really like him as a streamer.
Justin Herbert – Los Angeles Chargers (55% rostered)
He’s not as available as Russ, but there’s still a good chance you can find him on your waiver wire. Over the past three weeks, Jim Harbaugh has finally decided to stop running the ball all the time and play a more balanced game, exploiting his elite QB’s abilities. Last week, Herbert even scored a rushing touchdown and he should continue racking up fantasy points this week against the Bengals. I’ve just mentioned how bad the Ravens were on defense last week. But the Bengals were just as bad in that game. Both teams were constantly scoring touchdowns on each other during the second half of the game. Justin Herbert should be a solid streamer this week.
Bo Nix – Denver Broncos (44% rostered)
Bo Nix had a better game than anyone imagined against the Kansas City Chiefs, but it still was one of his lowest fantasy finishes this season. This was the second time Nix rushed fewer than five times in the whole season, mainly because of the game script. Props to Sean Payton, who adjusted the strategy correctly and almost ended the Chiefs’ winning streak. This week, Bo Nix should be way more comfortable taking advantage of his whole skill set against the Atlanta Falcons, who have been allowing over 200 passing yards, over 30 rushing yards, and over 18 fantasy points per game this season to QBs.
Tua Tagovailoa – Miami Dolphins (% rostered)
Despite the disappointing season, the Dolphins’ fantasy assets can still be very valuable in good matchups. This past Monday night against the Rams, Tua Tagovailoa had a good game, but the game script and a couple of turnovers ruined his fantasy performance. This week, he has a nice matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, who have allowed the eight-most fantasy points on average to quarterbacks this season. As long as he is healthy and keeps throwing the ball to the playmakers around him, Tua is a viable streamer in matchups like this one.
Kickers
Zane Gonzalez / Austin Seibert – Washington Commanders (3% & 41% rostered)
There are two names here, but the advice is to stream whoever is the kicker for the Washington Commanders this week. Austin Seibert was ruled out on Sunday after having limited practices due to a hip injury. They signed Zane Gonzalez that same day, which means they were genuinely considering starting Seibert. So his injury might not be severe at all. Many fantasy managers were forced to drop Seibert, who has been amazing this season, but Gonzalez did a perfect job and converted on all his opportunities last week. Bottom line: It’s too soon to know who will be the kicker this week, but whoever gets the job should have a lot of opportunities to score fantasy points against the Philadelphia Eagles in what’s expected to be the highest-scoring game of the week.
Jake Bates – Detroit Lions (38% rostered)
Jake Bates has yet to miss a field goal this season and was once again perfect last week in a game with complicated weather against the Houston Texans. This week, he’ll play at home under the comfiness of Ford Field’s dome in a juicy matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Lions are heavy favorites by 13 points in a game with a 48.5 over/under line. Bates should be a more than decent streamer this week.
Jason Myers – Seattle Seahawks (9% rostered)
This one is very likely to be available in your league after Seattle’s bye week. Jason Myers and the Seahawks have a high-scoring matchup on deck this week against the San Francisco 49ers. Myers has only missed one extra point and zero field goals since Week 6. With the whole offense rested and DK Metcalf expected to return from injury, the Seahawks should be able to keep up with the 49ers and provide Jason Myers with enough kicking opportunities to be among this week’s most viable streamers at the position.
Defense & Special Teams
Green Bay Packers (21% rostered)
There’s nothing like streaming a well-rested D/ST after their bye week, especially when it has such a good matchup. The Packers have been startable most weeks this season, and now they have an excellent matchup against the Chicago Bears, who have been struggling terribly over the past few weeks. Last week, the Patriots were able to sack Caleb Williams nine times and the young QB is starting to lose his patience with the team’s playcalling. This whole mess is perfect for the Packers’ defense, who should easily win this divisional matchup.
Houston Texans (29% rostered)
After intercepting Jared Goff five times, the Texans’ defense has an opportunity to shine once again against the Cooper Rush-led Dallas Cowboys. Last week, the Eagles sacked him three times and intercepted him once while also recovering four fumbles. This week’s game has a 42 over/under, with the Texans being seven-point favorites. With a low expected box score and the chance of some turnovers, Houston’s D/ST should definitely be considered as a streamer.
Detroit Lions (63% rostered)
Far less available than the other two options, but I suggest taking a look into your league’s waiver wire in case the Lions are up for grabs. This week they are 13.5-point favorites against the Jacksonville Jaguars, so yes, the Lions are expected to score the vast majority of points in this game. The Lions are #2 in interceptions and #4 in fantasy points per game this season, so pick them up and start them if they’re available.
BONUS: Tight End
Jonnu Smith – Miami Dolphins (35% rostered)
At this point, Jonnu Smith is close to enter every-week starter consideration. From Weeks 6 to 9, he saw at least six targets per game. Yesterday, he had only four targets and three receptions for 45 yards, but he almost scored a touchdown. It’s clear he is an important part of the game plan, and he should see a healthy amount of targets this week when he faces the Las Vegas Raiders, who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends this season.
