Will remain on punt returns
Coach Dave Canales said Monday that Coker will remain the team's punt returner moving forward, Kassidy Hill of the Panthers' official site reports.
After the Panthers cut Jimmy Horn last week, Coker got the first crack at returning punts in Week 2, and he responded with returns of 13 and 36 yards against Atlanta. Canales said Coker earned a longer look after that performance. Adding return duties just gives Coker another path to scoring fantasy points, helping raise both his floor and ceiling.
