NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Picks: Week 8 (Fantasy Football)
Building winning GPP lineups is tough by definition. However, there are a few key things to look for when filling out your roster. First and foremost is ceiling. We want players with the potential to score the most points. Next is leverage. We want the players who can take advantage of what the rest of the field is doing. Finally, we have to build a lineup that tells a winning story through game script and stacking.
Every week in this article, I will highlight my favorite FanDuel GPP picks at each position for the main slate of games. It won’t be an exhaustive list, but it aims to give you a starting point and a way of thinking as you build your tournament lineups. But don’t stop here. Let’s dive into Week 8:
Quarterbacks
Note: As always, check out the QBs in the Cash Picks article. All three QBs featured there (Josh Allen vs BAL – $9400, Dak Prescott vs ARI – $8000, Jacoby Brissett @ DAL – $7100) deserve GPP consideration; just make sure to build around and keep roster percentage in mind.
Lamar Jackson @ BUF – $8,500
The Ravens have gone three and a half games without Jackson, but he is finally poised to return for what could be the best DFS game of the season. The potential shootout with Buffalo features a mouth-watering 54.5-point over/under and a healthy 4.0 Game Pace Score (GPS). The field will likely be hesitant to roster Jackson in his first game back, presenting an opportunity to get him at a much lower-than-usual roster percentage. He was reportedly close to playing last week, and after multiple full practices this week, he appears healthy enough to return. Even if he doesn’t offer the same rushing upside we are accustomed to, his 6.3% TD rate is tied for the fourth-best in the league. That is actually lower than his ridiculous 8.0% rate over the previous two seasons, leaving plenty of room for him to break the slate through the air in a shootout with the Bills.
