Game Outlook
The season is flying by as we’re already entering Week 8 in the NFL, which kicks off on Thursday night when the Panthers travel to Lambeau for a primetime matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Oddsmakers have Green Bay favored by 3.5 at home with the total sitting at a solid 47.5. Worth noting, the only games with a higher total on the Week 8 slate are BUF/BAL and DAL/ARI, so this one should be fun, especially with both offenses ranking near the top of the league in pace of play and pass rate over expectation. That said, it is worth noting that the Packers haven’t allowed an opponent to exceed their team total since Week 3, and as a result, their games are 4-0 to the under over the last month. Carolina, meanwhile, has been playing great offensive football (with the exception of last week’s pantsing by the Bucs), so it’s a bit of a push and pull scenario here.
