NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Picks: Week 2 (Fantasy Football)
Each week I’ll highlight my favorite GPP picks that I have some confidence heading into the weekend to put into my player pools. On the Fantasy Footballers DFS Podcast, Betz and myself will dive into a couple of these but this article is intended for DFS Pass subscribers to get the full lay of the land.
Quarterbacks
Selecting QBs for GPPs is about finding stacking partners that also give you leverage on the field. Remember QB roster percentages are relatively flat. Nevertheless, refer to the FanDuel cash game picks and then add these guys in the mix of players who are contrarian. I love Lamar Jackson this week and Derek Carr. But I’ll highlight some other names here.
Joe Burrow @ DAL-$7900
The four INTs last week are the major headline but this is an easy bounce-back spot for Burrow on the road. The Dallas defensive numbers from last year were a bit hollow when you consider how much volume they saw in the passing game. The Bengals are one of the most WR-centric offenses in the NFL and last week the Buccaneers kept pounding them there with a league-high 74% of the targets. Burrow had an 8 percent TD rate last year on the road and his passing TDs line is currently over 1.5 (-210). Stacking Burrow with Chase is only 27.8% of your budget… it should be well over 30% given their combined ceiling outcomes.
