NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Picks: Week 2 (Fantasy Football)
Building winning GPP lineups is tough by definition. There are, however, some key things to look for when filling out your roster. First and foremost is ceiling. We want players with the potential to score the most points. Next is leverage. We want the players who can take advantage of what the rest of the field is doing. Finally, we have to build a lineup that tells a winning story through game script and stacking.
Every week in this article, I will highlight my favorite FanDuel GPP picks at each position for the main slate of games. It will not be an exhaustive list, but it aims to give you a starting point and a way of thinking as you build your tournament lineups. But do not stop here. As usual, Week 1 was wild. Now we get to turn the page to Week 2. We only have one week of data, and this gives us the chance to take advantage of overreactions the field may have. Let’s dive in.
Quarterbacks
Joe Burrow @ HOU – $8,200
First and foremost, make sure to monitor Burrow’s status leading up to kickoff, as he appears to be dealing with a minor injury. But as long as he is healthy, Burrow deserves consideration in GPP lineups, especially if the injury concern tempers his roster percentage. He faces a Texans defense that bottled up James Cook but got torched through the air by Josh Allen last week. While Burrow doesn’t offer the same rushing upside as Allen, we know he can rack up points through the air with the best of them.
