NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Picks: Week 9 (Fantasy Football)
For the purposes of this article, I’ll be highlighting plays that I believe have upside at reduced roster percentages, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle in some cash plays into our GPP lineups as well. When building your GPP lineups, be sure to reference our Roster Percentage Report as well as our DFS Rankings in order to identify plays who have a solid projection yet may be undervalued by the field. In order to compete in GPPs, we’ll want to utilize a combination of cash plays and GPP plays in order to build solid lineups without sacrificing too much in the way of projection. Quarterback
C.J. Stroud $6,200 vs. TB
I was on Stroud last week, and it unfortunately didn’t work out against the Panthers due to the fact that, like most teams against Carolina, Houston chose to run the football against light boxes. Stroud only attempted 24 passes but this is a spot where we can project an uptick in the passing numbers for Houston’s offense. Tampa Bay has faced the 3rd-highest defensive PROE (+6.8%) this season while holding opposing offenses to just 3.9 yards per rush attempt. Against the pass, they’ve been been much worse, allowing opposing passers to average 7.4 yards per attempt, the ninth-worst mark in the league. More specifically, if you zoom in on their numbers over the last three weeks since their bye, Tampa ranks 19th in EPA per drop back (6th before the bye) and 29th in yards per pass attempt allowed (10th before they bye). This is a get right spot for the Texans passing offense and with Devin Singletary drawing so much roster percentage, Stroud + Nico and/or Tank Dell makes sense.
