Antonio Gibson
Left Toe Injury: Likely Out Week 14
Gibson injured his left foot early in Monday night’s game against the Steelers and didn’t return. He was seen getting his left big toe taped by trainers and testing his foot on the sidelines, but ultimately, he wasn’t able to go. This injury appears to be a turf toe type of injury, which would put Gibson’s Week 14 availability in doubt. I would expect Gibson to undergo an MRI on Tuesday to further evaluate the severity of his injury. He likely won’t practice much this week.
Players impacted: J.D. McKissic, Peyton Barber
Frank Gore
Concussion: Week to week
One of the most durable backs in all of the NFL, Frank Gore exited Week 13 early because of a concussion. He is now in the league’s concussion protocol and will be monitored throughout the week.
Players impacted: Ty Johnson, Josh Adams
Laviska Shenault
Thumb Injury: Day to day
Shenault injured his thumb on Sunday and has already had x-rays taken, which came back clean. He’ll likely show up on the Jaguars injury report this week, but it’s unlikely he misses any game time.
Players impacted: D.J. Chark, Mike Glennon, Chris Conley
Ito Smith
Concussion: Week to week
No one is really starting Ito Smith in fantasy, but he’s a piece of the Falcons RB depth chart worth monitoring heading into Week 14, especially given the fact that Todd Gurley is battling a knee injury. If either back were to miss time next week, Brian Hill could be thrust into an every-down role for the opening round of the fantasy playoffs.
Players impacted: Todd Gurley, Brian Hill
Joshua Kelley
Ankle Sprain: Week to week
The details regarding the Chargers RB’s ankle injury aren’t available right now, but he left Week 13 against the Patriots early and didn’t return despite being listed as questionable. When speaking to the media on Monday, head coach Anthony Lynn didn’t have an update on Kelley’s injury. For now, consider him week to week and questionable for Week 14.
Players impacted: Austin Ekeler, Kalen Ballage
