Monday – Week 14 Studs and Duds, and the Goose King
It is playoff time, and Andy, Mike, and Jason are here to help. They start by getting sophisticated.
News
More QB injuries, Justin Herbert has fractured his finger and is not expected to play this Thursday. CJ Stroud left with a concussion, and Alexander Mattison left early with an ankle sprain. Justin Jefferson left the game and headed to the hospital with a rib injury. Josh Jacobs did not return and was seen limping off the field, and Aaron Jones is not expected to play tonight.
Studs
Lamar Jackson had a great game in bad weather that was one of the best of the day. On the other side, Matthew Stafford was also excellent. Justin Fields was a great start, and the Jake Browning experiment is still going strong. On to the RBs, who are highlighted with James Cook, who was heavily used in the passing game. Breece Hall did good on the ground and great through the air. Dollar store CMC, Rachaad White looked great playing almost 90% of the snaps. Jason’s start of the week, Joe Mixon, was also successful. Welcome back, Austin Ekeler! Javonte and CMC were also great.
The two San Francisco WRs found the end zone, Drake London had the best game of his career, and DJ Moore looked great. The Baltimore WRs had a bunch of targets, and OBJ will be a waiver target. The risky start of the week Garrett Wilson enjoyed having a QB on Sunday and Michael Pittman was unstoppable.
Andy was hungry for more from Evan Engram, and now he is full. David Njoku is Joe Flacco’s number-one guy. Isaiah Likely, Hunter Henry, and Kyle Pitts were also excellent TEs this week.
Duds
There were a lot. Patrick Mahomes, here we are again. Jared Goff had another bad game, and Zack Moss was not successful. It was miserable for D’Andre Swift and the Baltimore RBs as the Ravens scored through the air. Shake off the bad Amon-Ra game and the bad Mike Evans game – he was so close to catching that TD. Stefon Diggs had another bad game, and Andy thinks that he will not be playing for the Bills next season. Gabe Davis goosed, so get ready for a big game next week. Brandin Cooks, Josh Downs, and Calvin Ridley were all bad.
Sam LaPorta and Dalton Kincaid had rough weeks, and the Muth was not Luth.
Enjoy the Monday night doubleheader!
Tuesday – Week 15 Waivers and QB Streamers, It’s Playoff Time!
Monday Night Recap
The games got a little crazy last night, and congrats to anyone who is playoff-bound! Make sure to look ahead so you can pick up the players, and do some keep-away! The Titans beat the Dolphins, De’Andre Hopkins was vintage, and Will Levis made some big-boy throws. In the other game, Tommy Cutlets won another football game, and with that, Saquon found success. For the Packers, Jayden Reed did his best attempt trying to be Deebo. Disappointing day for Romeo Dobbs and Jordan Love.
News
Darren Waller looks to return this week, as well as Josh Palmer, but now, without Justin Herbert, it seems moot. Justin Jefferson is day-to-day with a chest injury and may play on Saturday. Hollywood Brown and Michael Wilson are returning from the bye and might be playing.
Waivers
Starting with the RB position – Josh Jacobs limped off the field on Sunday. The other injuries to consider are Alexander Mattison and Isiah Pacheco. If all starting RBs are out, the Raiders’ replacement is Jason’s least favorite option. Chase Brown is another option but could be a dart throw, and Rico Dowdle is starting to do more for the offense.
Andy loves Zay Jones if you need a WR. OBJ has a better matchup this week, and if CJ Stroud is back, Noah Brown could still be an option. Less rostered options are Demarcus Robinson and Parker Washington in the deepest of leagues. You might have to drop some players, and Andy is okay with dropping Gabe Davis and Jordan Addison.
TE options are gross. Likely is likely unavailable, but Brevin Jordan is also an option. Davis Allen might be a dart throw if the Rams do not have another TE on the field. Defensive options include New Orleans, Atlanta, and Minnesota. Denver or Jacksonville are good options if you want to stash.
Streamers
Jason is streaming Matthew Stafford, Andy likes Russell Wilson, and Mike is willing to consider Joe Flacco.
Wednesday – Trust Your Studs, and Hungry For More, Go the Distance
Hungry for More
Mike is loving Arthur now and is hungry for more from Drake London. Jason wants more Justin Fields. Andy is starving and is going with David Njoku and Amari Cooper.
News
Nick Mullens was named the starting for Minnesota, and Alexander Mattison was a non-participant on Tuesday. Justin Jefferson is also up in the air. Tyreek Hill is day-to-day.
Thursday Night Breakdown
The falling-down-the-hill Chargers take on the falling-down-the-hill Raiders in a low over-under. Neither team really has a QB, and Jason says it is a fart fest for fantasy. You don’t even know if all of the stars are starting (ahem, Keenan Allen), so proceed with caution. You always play Davante Adams, but make sure to check the most updated practice reports before the game. RB-wise, if Jacobs is playing, you start him, and Austin Ekeler is a go.
The guys jump into the mailbag and sign off.
Thursday – Starts of the Week and Week 15 Breakdown, Sketchtown?
News
For tonight’s game, Keenan Allen was ruled out with a heel injury, and Jason thinks Ekeler and the Las Vegas defense get a bump. Josh Jacobs and his status is in doubt, and if he starts, the guys are starting him. Justin Jefferson is looking to play this week, and Devon Achane missed Wednesday’s practice, so pay attention. Isiah Pacheco also missed practice, and Demario Douglas returned.
Fantasy Forecast
The guys start out with three Saturday games. The Vikings take on the Bengals first, and Jason wants to avoid touching Jake Browning against that Minnesota defense. Andy is nervous about all the Minnesota weapons with Nick Mullens under center. You can start Justin Jefferson, but who knows what you will get? Joe Mixon is a go, and Ty Chandler is a good start. Pittsburgh and Indy are the next matchup. Pitty City is an always start, and you might have better options than Josh Downs. George Pickens is also a scary start. Andy is still in on Zack Moss, and the Pittsburgh RBs are fine.
Denver heads to Detroit to play the Lions. Sutton and Javonte are in, and you can stream Russ at QB. On the other side, Jahmyr Gibbs is a go, along with David Montgomery. Sam LaPorta is a fantastic start. The Bears and Browns start us off on Sunday and Joe Flacco is starting the remainder of the season and is a streaming option. You are starting Amari Cooper and David Njoku, and the Browns’ RB situation is messy. On the Chicago side, the Fields floor is low. Start DJ Moore, and D’Onta Foreman is an option.
It is a Bay battle with Tampa and Green Bay. Play Mike Evans even after his down week, Jordan Love has a great matchup, and Reed and Doubs are starts. Mike also likes TE Tucker Kraft, but avoid the Packers’ RB if you can. Houston and Tennessee are back, along with Davis Mills and his neck. CJ Stroud is dealing with a concussion and will probably be out, and Will Levis could be a streaming option if Stroud starts. Confidence level on Nico Collins is lower with Mills, a la sketchtown. Devin Singletary might be an option, and you play DeAndre Hopkins. Miami takes on the Jets in an AFC East battle. Mostert is a lock, and it is the same with Achane if he is active. Start the rest of your Miami stars, including Jaylen Waddle, but the guys are scared to start Tua in a rough matchup with potential bad weather. Start Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson.
Starts of the Week
Andy is starting Russell Wilson, Kyren Williams, DK Metcalf, and Trey McBride. Mike is going with Matthew Stafford, Zack Moss, OBJ, and Logan Thomas. Finally, Jason is starting Jordan Love, Najee Harris, DeAndre Hopkins, and Sam LaPorta.
The show ends with Boom Boom Kicker, and the guys sign off. Good luck in the playoffs, FootClan!
Friday – Week 15 Matchups & Wheel of Shame, A Bit Cheaper
Thursday Night Recap
Well, we hope you bet the over. Basically, every player was good except Austin Ekeler, and it was shocking that he even saw the field in the second half. If you started the Raiders’ defense, congratulations! There is no doubt there will be a coaching change in Los Angeles. Mike suggests checking out your waiver wire and seeing if Buffalo or Denver is on it, as they will be playing the Chargers coming up.
News
Alexander Mattison is ruled out, and Justin Jefferson looks to play. Big concern on the Miami side – red alert with Hill and Achane. Keep your eyes on the practice reports to see if either or both are available to go. CJ Stroud is still in concussion protocol and probably will not play. Brian Robinson Jr. remains sidelined on Thursday, and his status is in jeopardy. Hollywood Brown did return to practice.
Fantasy Forcast
The Kansas City Chiefs take on the New England Patriots in a low over/under. It could have been better for fantasy with Mahomes this year, and that has been rough for fantasy managers. You don’t have Pacheco, and everything will be going through Kelce. Jerick McKinnon and Rashee Rice are startable if you are in a PPR league, and on the other side, Jason is only considering Zeke.
Tommy Cutlets heads to New Orleans for the next game. The guys aren’t expecting a big Giants game, and they aren’t starting anyone besides Saquon. If you have Darren Waller, he might be a hold-and-see. On the other side, you obviously play Alvin Kamara and pay attention to Olave and his injury designation. Atlanta heads to Carolina next. You obviously are starting Bijan, and on the other side you could start Chuba, but it is a bad matchup. There is no guarantee that Drake London will duplicate last week’s outing, so proceed cautiously. If you have to start a WR, Adam Thielen would be the guy.
Washington plays Los Angeles, and the Rams could have a big game. Kyren Williams, Kupp, and Puka are obviously in. Don’t mess around with TEs there. On the other side of the ball, it might be scary, but you can take a dart through on Terry McLaurin. Andy is nervous about all of the Commanders. The Niners play the Cardinals in a battle of the NFC West. Play everyone on San Francisco, but there are more questions for Arizona. Andy is nervous about James Conner if the game gets out of control.
Dallas plays Buffalo in what could be a great game. Pay attention to the weather, but you are starting your core players, but do not start Gabe Davis. Looking at the TEs, Kincaid and Ferguson are options to play. The Ravens take on the Jags next in an AFC matchup. The Baltimore RBs are a big decision, and Mike is leaning toward Keaton Mitchell over Gus Edwards. You can start Zay Flowers, OBJ could be a good play, and you can go with Isaiah Likely. On the Jacksonville side, Etienne is in, and Evan Engram has been on fire. Avoid Trevor Lawrence if you can. Monday night brings us the Eagles and Seahawks in a bird battle. The Seattle defense has been bad lately, but Andy is a big fan of the WRs, especially DK Metcalf. Good luck with those Seattle RBs, as the guys want to look elsewhere. Geno Smith is a spot-start option. The question marks on the Philly side are Swift and Goedert, and Andy is making this his almost upset of the week.
The guys share their DraftKings lineups, Andy spins the Wheel of Shame, and we are heading into the playoffs!
