The Eagles released Dalton on Friday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
The move comes after Dalton was demoted to QB3 duties last Sunday against the Rams. The veteran opened the season as Jalen Hurts' backup but entered Week 3 against the Bears for four offensive snaps and tossed a back-breaking interception in the end zone on his lone pass attempt. Tanner McKee will serve as the QB2 moving forward.
