Offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt notes that there's still a chance Chubb could come off the reserve/COVID-19 list in time for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

With that in mind, Van Pelt adds that the Browns will keep the process going as long as they can, but at this stage the Week 10 status of both Chubb and Demetric Felton, who is also on the reserve/COVID-19 list, remains cloudy. Given that Kareem Hunt (calf) is not ready to return from injured reserve, D'Ernest Johnson would be in line to start at running back for the Browns on Sunday if Chubb isn't activated by the team.
