With their top cornerback sidelined for at least six games, the Patriots recently sent draft picks to Baltimore for fifth-round rookie Shaun Wade. The team still has two quality corners in J.C. Jackson and Jonathan Jones, but it isn't clear if Wade, Jalen Mills or Joejuan Williams can step up as a capable No. 3. Either way, Gilmore's absence is a huge loss for a New England defense that was hoping to recapture its 2019 form after an inconsistent 2020.
