Jordan Howard, RB (FA)
Making serious bid for roster spot
Howard is a good bet to make the Eagles roster and could even garner some playing time in the regular season, Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Among the other candidates to back up Miles Sanders, Howard has stood out for his ability as an inside runner and especially in pass protection this preseason. Howard's skills complement those of Boston Scott and 2021 fifth-round selection Kenneth Gainwell -- the smaller, speedier backs in camp -- who are also likely to make the team. Kerryon Johnson is currently week-to-week with a knee injury and accordingly is falling behind in the race.
