Every week the First Look article gives you a taste of the slate and some of the more intriguing salaries that DraftKings and FanDuel release. The goal is to identify early-week cash game considerations, as well as potential tournament plays before we piece together the stacking options. On Tuesdays, I share some of these insights on the Fantasy Footballers DFS & Betting Podcast if you want further commentary on some of the salary standouts.

Here are the games for this week’s main slate* including team-implied totals (TIP) for each matchup.

Overview

For newcomers, the main slate for DFS includes the Sunday early (1:00 EST) and afternoon games (4:25 EST). At first glance, here are a couple of things to note:

  • Off the Main Slate: SF, SEA, JAX, CHI, CIN, NYG, BUF, NYJ
  • Bye Week Teams: KC, LAR, MIA, MIN
  • Rinse and repeat what we did last week with only 10 games on the main slate. Last week, we saw a ton of 3RB builds flood cash but WRs went bonkers to ultimately remind us that full PPR and 100+ yard bonuses always make WR worth chasing for tournament upside.

Quarterbacks

  • How fun is it going to be seeing Lamar Jackson ($7800) and Jayden Daniels ($7300) on the same field? Lamar is the QB1 through five games while Daniels is on pace to smash the previous record of QB scrambles in a season. Both face suspect pass defenses worth targeting.
