NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Picks: Week 1 (Fantasy Football)
Each week I’ll highlight my favorite GPP picks that I have some confidence heading into the weekend to put into my player pools. For more on GPP strategy and the mechanics of it, make sure you listen to our DFS GPP Overview episode. Quarterbacks
Selecting QBs for GPPs is about finding stacking partners that also give you leverage on the field. Remember QB roster percentages are relatively flat. Week 1 is a weird environment in itself with redraft GroupThink and casual players skewing some of the overall roster percentage data. Nevertheless, please refer to the FanDuel cash game picks and then add these guys in the mix of players who are contrarian.
Russell Wilson @ IND- $7,800
I’m not quite sure why there is zero buzz surrounding Seattle this week. Seriously, in our premium projections and across the industry he sits comfortably as a QB4 or 5 on this slate. The Seahawks are 2.5-point favorites with a healthy 25.5 team implied total in a game that recently was bet up to 50 points. Yet for roster percentage projections he’s coming in under three percent. The stacking options are just too easy with D.K. Metcalf & Tyler Lockett. The public likely wants to wait and see what new OC Shane Waldron does with this offense so take that uncertainty and leverage it against the field.
