DFS strategy is different on small playoff slates. It’s important to get unique, but that becomes tricky when you have fewer options to choose from. FanDuel is giving us exactly that for the divisional round, separate two-game main slates, though they are offering a four-game slate with fewer contests. This article features a section for each individual slate, but you can also use the information if playing the four-game. I’ll focus more on tournaments than cash games, where ultimately, we’re looking for the highest ceiling and a few sports to get different if it makes sense.

Saturday Slate

Quarterbacks

Lamar Jackson vs. HOU – $8,700

Given his dual-threat ability and MVP level of play this season, Jackson comes with the highest ceiling on the Saturday slate. He feels like a steal at just $8,700, which is $300 cheaper than Josh Allen was last week when he scored the most FD points of any player in the wild-card round. As Borg pointed out in his First Look article, Lamar has been better at home than on the road this season, to the tune of 23.1 fantasy points/game at M&T Stadium. He’ll likely be the most popular QB on the Saturday slate, if not the entire weekend, but his raw fantasy points at a relative value salary make him worth it on this truncated slate.
