NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Picks: Week 18 (Fantasy Football)
For the purposes of this article, I’ll be highlighting plays that I believe have paths to a ceiling outcome at reduced roster percentage, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle in some cash plays into our lineup as well. For my full breakdown on DraftKings for Week 18 cash games, be sure to check out my DraftKings cash picks here.
When building your GPP lineups, be sure to reference our Roster Percentage Report as well as our DFS Rankings in order to identify plays that have a solid projection yet may be undervalued by the field. In order to compete in GPPs, we’ll want to utilize a combination of cash plays and GPP plays in order to build solid lineups without sacrificing too much in the way of projection. For more on how to use roster percentages and build strong GPP lineups, be sure to check out this episode of the DFS Podcast.
*Note: Plays listed below are in order of salary, NOT necessarily ranked by preferred plays
*Note 2: Given that that many of the teams playing on this slate do not have motivation to win, I am personally trying to prioritize players in cash (especially those that are expensive) who are guaranteed to play most of or all of their team’s snaps. I wrote about each team’s Week 18 Motivation in this article, which is free.
Quarterbacks
Jalen Hurts $8,200
The Eagles game is pretty straight forward – if they win, they lock up the #1 seed in the NFC and will earn a first round bye. As a result, we can confidently project their starters to play and while they may not need to play deep into the 4th quarter, if the Eagles are blowing out the Giants backups, it’s likely because their key players had a great game, and that includes Jalen Hurts. Credit to Kyle for this research, which he wrote about in Week 18 Pace of Play:
There have been 13 teams over the last decade that were two TD favorites or more:
- Those teams went 12-1 with the lone loss being Ryan Fitzpatrick‘s 2019 Dolphins somehow beating Tom Brady‘s Patriots on a last-second TD.
- The favored teams averaged 31.7 points with all but one team scoring at least three TDs.
In other words, don’t be scared off by the massive spread. Philly’s 28.5-point implied total is the highest on the slate. They’re a team to target not only for floor, but also upside.
