Week 13 Waiver Wire (Fantasy Football)
Week 12 has been so strange and frankly has been the longest week of football yet. Waiver claims across the board have been completely skewed with the Ravens and Steelers rescheduled to play Wednesday, December 2 at 3:40 pm EST. Waivers should be processed later than usual (check with your league settings), which may give you a bit more time to research your claims. The waiver wire is more important than ever as we round the corner and approach the fantasy playoffs.
Don’t forget, in addition to injuries and COVID, we have the Panthers and the Buccaneers on a bye week.
Make sure you listen to the Fantasy Footballers’ Week 13 Waiver Wire episode for Andy, Mike, and Jason’s take on these players, who you should target, and who you can drop to make room on your team.
Also, check out our team’s Target Report article, and Injury Recap to help you make the most informed decisions for your waiver claims for Week 13.

We’ve been waiting for the Texans WR Will Fuller to have a monster game and he delivered on Thanksgiving with a whopping 35.1 points in PPR and 32.1 in half-PPR scoring. Then he was suspended six games for performance-enhancing drugs and our hopes for his fantasy future this season are gashed. 2020, am I right? D.J. Moore, Curtis Samuel, Robby Anderson, Chris Godwin, Mike Evans, and Antonio Brown are all on a bye, which leaves a gaping hole in fantasy production on our squads.
Fortunately, Deebo Samuel, Michael Pittman, and Allen Lazard may be available to snag off the waiver wire to help you through Week 13 and the playoffs.
Samuel exploded in his first game since Week 7 with 13 targets, 11 receptions, 133 yards, and 18.8 points in half-PPR. That was with the backup QB Nick Mullens who is filling in for the sidelined Jimmy Garappolo. The 49ers have the fifth easiest schedule for WRs facing Buffalo, Washington, Dallas, and then Seattle. Washington will be a tough matchup, but Dallas and Seattle are prime games for fantasy.
Pittman and the Colts face the sixth easiest schedule for WRs. Pittman shined in Weeks 10 and 11 but had a down week last week against the Titans. He did see nine targets but only hauled in two receptions. The volume for Pittman is there and as they face the tenth worst defense against WRs in Houston twice.
Allen Lazard, the Lazard King, is finally back. He played his first game since Week 3 against the Colts in Week 11, but it appears that he needed a week to shake off the rust. Against the Bears, Lazard saw six targets, had four receptions, only 23 yards, and a touchdown, which saved his fantasy day. The Packers will face Detroit in Week 14, who is ninth-worst against WRs, and then the Titans in Week 16 who are eighth-worst.

Week 12 vs WSH – 4/12/0 — 2 targets for 2/10/0 (36% of snaps)
This pains my soul to say this as an Alvin Kamara manager, but Latavius Murray seems to be the back to roster and start with backup QB Taysom Hill under center. Kamara out-snapped Murray, but Murray out-touched Kamara 19 to 11, had 124 yards to Kamara’s 54, and two touchdowns to Kamara’s zero. It was very disappointing from a fantasy standpoint.
Raiders RB Josh Jacobs went down in Las Vegas’ shocking blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons. It is a sprained ankle, so it’s possible he plays this Sunday. However, he could be playing on a limited snap count or sidelined altogether. If so, having Devontae Booker to sub in would be a good idea. He is only 5% rostered in ESPN and 9% in Yahoo leagues and can be the guy to get you through at least this week if Jacobs misses or is limited.
Jets rookie RB La’Mical Perine is on IR and may miss the rest of the season, although that is not confirmed. Frank Gore is picking up the slack as best he can in an offense that is perpetually playing from behind. He has scored in the double digits in the last two weeks and can give your team a baseline at RB but also a low ceiling.
Benny Snell is another speculative stash if James Conner misses more time than just tomorrow’s game. Conner tested positive for COVID-19 and his return is up in the air. It’s important to note that he tested positive and is not on the reserve list due to high-risk, close contact tracing. That means he may miss more time that just being a close contact.
TEs
Robert Tonyan, Packers (Rostered: ESPN 46% / Yahoo 61%)
PHI — Fantasy Playoffs: @DET, CAR, TEN
Week 12 vs CHI — 5 targets for 5/67/1
Logan Thomas, Washington (Rostered: ESPN 25% / Yahoo 41%)
@PIT — Fantasy Playoffs: @SF, SEA, CAR
Week 12 @DAL — 4 targets for 4/20/1
Jordan Reed, 49ers (Rostered: ESPN 15% / Yahoo 25%)
BUF — Fantasy Playoffs: WSH, @DAL, @ARI
Week 12 @LAR — 6 targets for 2/18/0
Trey Burton Colts (Rostered: ESPN 6% / Yahoo 19%)
@HOU — Fantasy Playoffs: @LV, HOU, @PIT
Week 12 vs TEN — 6 targets for 3/42/1
Dalton Schultz, Cowboys (Rostered: ESPN 30% / Yahoo 22%)
@BAL — Fantasy Playoffs: @CIN, SF, PHI
Week 12 vs WAS — 5 targets for 5/24/0
Jordan Akins, Texans
IND — Fantasy Playoffs: @CHI, @IND, CIN
Week 12 @DET — 2 targets for 0/0/0
If either Robert Tonyan or Logan Thomas is somehow still available on the waiver wire, run… do not walk to your device and claim them NOW. The tight end landscape is so gross that having at least two players who have a shot at upside for the fantasy playoffs is almost unbelievable.
Tonyan and Thomas have been yo-yo’s for fantasy but the Packers face the fifth easiest schedule from here on out. With Lazard back in the lineup, defenses will be busy with him and Davante Adams.
Remember to listen to the Fantasy Footballers Waiver Wire episode to see who you should target for Week 13 as well as who Andy, Mike, and Jason have as their QB and DST streaming options for this week.
Good luck in Week 13!
