NFL Week 4 Weather Conditions (Fantasy Football)
This is the time of year when Start/Sit decisions become trickier because we’re reaching deeper into rosters due to injuries and bye weeks. Rarely does weather make startable players unstartable (at least in September and October); instead, it can be used as a tie-breaker if you’re deciding between two players. We have a couple games like that this week, but the weather looks mostly good.
Updates Posted for LAC@TB, JAX@CIN, NE@KC. Correction: IND@CHI start time 4:25 PM EST
I’ll also post any updates here on Sunday morning with a final update around 12:30 PM ET.
Catch ‘SUNDAY LIVE’ at Noon ET — Mike “The Fantasy Hitman” Wright will be answering start/sit questions, and covering injury updates for Week 4.

Sunday, October 4th, 2020:
Los Angeles Chargers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
1:00 PM ET
RAYMOND JAMES STADIUM
TAMPA, FLORIDA
Temp: 76°
Precipitation: Rain
Wind: 7 mph
Wind Gusts: 9 mph
Fantasy Impact: We’re going to wake up to significant rain in Tampa Bay, but it will taper off approaching kickoff. Expect light, but steady rain especially towards the beginning and end of this game. This is one of those tie-break games. The rain and wind won’t be significant enough that we can expect them to impact the game from a fantasy perspective, but you can use this to help you in a tie-break scenario. Mike Evans, Keenan Allen, and Austin Ekeler are still must-starts. Ronald Jones and Hunter Henry are still startable. Tom Brady is the one player fantasy teams might have a start/sit decision, but we know he’s dealt with far worse weather for a very long time. Play your other QB if they are very closely projected with Brady, but don’t worry if Brady is your best option.
(Update: It’s looking like we’re going to see some light rain through the early parts of the game. The rain should taper off around halftime, but it will probably come back for the fourth quarter. Being that it’s Florida, there’s always the chance for an isolated heavy shower. There’s still no reason to adjust fantasy rosters because of the weather, but I would still sit Tom Brady if I had a 50/50 decision between him and another QB.)
