NFL Week 5 Weather Conditions (Fantasy Football)
Week 4 is in the books and we saw our first big weather-impacted game of the year! The Jets and the Broncos fought through rain and sloppy field conditions to finish with a score of 10-9, yikes. Persistent rain really slowed down both offenses, we have a few games this week that will be shaping up to have some similar setups, so read below along with the article “Whether Weather Really Matters” to find out how best to set up your lineup this week!
Morning Game (London)
New York Jets @ Minnesota Vikings
MEDIUM impact. Expect some rain throughout the game, however, it doesn’t look as bad as what the Jets played through last week but it’ll still cause some issues. There’s a 50% probability of rain around the stadium, but since it’s London, I would hedge on it raining. Winds will be in the high single digits with gusts into the high teens.
Early Afternoon Games
Carolina Panthers @ Chicago Bears
MEDIUM impact. No concern with rain throughout the game, just keep an eye on the winds for this game. Currently seeing sustained winds in the mid to upper teens with gusts hitting in the mid-20s. This will cause some issues with the passing game as well as field goal kicking. Temperatures during game time will be in the mid-70s.
Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals
LOW impact. Sunny skies will make for an overall nice day in southwest Ohio. Watch the winds before kickoff, I’m not expecting them to be as bad as it’ll be in Chicago but there will still be some gusts up to the low-20s. However, the sustained winds will be in the low teens. High temp in the mid-80s.
Miami Dolphins @ New England Patriots
LOW impact. Nice looking day for football. Low winds with temperatures in the mid-60s.
Cleveland Browns @ Washington Commanders
LOW impact. A great day in the nation’s capital with clear skies and temperatures in the mid-70s. No impacts expected.
Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars
MEDIUM impact. There will be some rain and thunderstorms throughout the area during game time. We’ll also have some slightly increased winds with sustained speeds in the teens and gusts into the low-20s. Expect impacts to all levels of the game if a storm moves over the area. Temps will be in the low-80s.
Late Afternoon Games
Las Vegas Raiders @ Denver Broncos
LOW impact. Sunny with highs in the high-70s and calm winds. It’ll be a great afternoon in Denver.
Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers
LOW impact. No impacts, great day for football. Highs in the mid-70s and winds in the single digits.
New York Giants @ Seattle Seahawks
LOW impact. Little cloudy but no rain expected. High-60s during game time with calm winds.
Sunday Night Game
Dallas Cowboys @ Pittsburgh Steelers
MEDIUM impact. Expecting rain during game time, sitting at a 70% chance right now. Winds will be in the high single digits gusting to the teens. There’s likely going to be some ball control issues and impacts on the passing game. Keep an eye on the weather reports leading up to this game and be ready to flex if needed.
Monday Night Game
New Orleans Saints @ Kansas City Chiefs
LOW impact. Nice conditions for Monday night. Temps will be in the 70s, with no rain or significant winds expected.
Weather is a dynamic thing and can change! Keep an eye on your local weather source leading up to kickoff to see if anything changes significantly. Good luck!
