We were largely spared from any significant weather last week, which was a very nice change in pace. Now here we are, and for most of you, it’s the championship! It doesn’t get much bigger than this! As much as I would love to tell you that this week will be like last week, it won’t. Give it all a read down below, and best of luck to you this week!

Buckle up, it’s Week 17 time, baby!

Saturday Game

Baltimore Ravens @ Green Bay Packers

MEDIUM impact. There is a chance of rain during the game, currently sitting at a little above 50% for the area around Lambeau. The good news is that the rain doesn’t look like it will get heavier until much later in the evening. Winds will be light, and game time temperatures will be sitting in the mid-30s. I wouldn’t make any drastic changes to your lineup. Just keep an eye on pre-game conditions and be ready to flex if needed.

Sunday Early Afternoon Games

Arizona Cardinals @ Cincinnati Bengals

MEDIUM impact. I’m expecting a damp and slightly windy day in Cincinnati on Sunday. Rain chances are just above 60% with wind speeds in the low-teens, gusting to the low-20s. Hey, at least the temperatures will be in the upper-60s. These types of games typically favor the running game, so Michael Carter and Chase Brown should see a good amount of action. Studs are gonna stud, so your WR1s in this game are worth a start. Anyone else that you have a comparable flex for should be considered.

Seattle Seahawks @ Carolina Panthers

LOW impact. Mostly cloudy skies, light winds, no rain, and temperatures in the high-50s. No issues here, start your usual players.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns

HIGH impact. Rain and winds are going to be the biggest issues during the game. Rain is expected to be persistent and heavy at times throughout the game. Winds will be sustained in the low-teens with gusts up to the low-20s. Additionally, the temperatures will be in the low-40s. I would be hesitant to start anyone in this game. I’m sure some points will be scored, but between the rain and wind, it’s a crap shoot on who will actually come through. The Defenses would likely be the best start for you in this game. Start players with caution!

New Orleans Saints @ Tennessee Titans

LOW impact. It’ll be a little windy, with sustained speeds in the low-teens and the occasional gust in the mid-20s. However, it’s looking like those wind gusts will be fairly sparse. No rain, partly sunny skies, and temperatures in the low-70s. The only recommendation for this game would be to potentially switch kickers if you have another option (maybe one that is indoors).

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Miami Dolphins

LOW impact. Old reliable Florida, coming in clutch again. No rain, sunny skies, light winds, and temperatures in the low-80s. No issues here, start all your usual guys. It feels kinda cheap to give this to Florida, but hey, when you win, you win. Especially with the “GOOD WEATHER GAME OF THE WEEK”.

New England Patriots  @ New York Jets

MEDIUM impact. There’s a small chance of rain (around 20%) throughout the game, combined with temperatures that will be, basically, right at freezing, which will likely cause some impacts. The good news is that the winds will be fairly light, so we won’t have a trifecta of weather annoyances. I am not seeing any major reason why you should move off your usual starters; just give a quick pre-game check beforehand.

Sunday Late Afternoon Games

Philadelphia Eagles @ Buffalo Bills

HIGH impact. This game has the potential to get sloppy (official meteorological term). I’m expecting rain throughout much of the game, some of it heavy at times. The temperatures will be ok, sitting in the low-40s. The winds will be largely cooperative as well, with sustained speeds in the high single digits. So what do we do? Great question. I’m not about to tell you to bench Saquon Barkley or Josh Allen in a championship week. We’ve seen both of those gentlemen overcome bad conditions before. I would temper your expectations for scoring and be willing to flex those positions that you can.

Sunday Night Game

Chicago Bears @ San Francisco 49ers

LOW impact. It’ll be a looter cooler than normal, with gametime temperatures in the upper-30s. Aside from that, no other issues. Start all your usual players.

Best of luck to your team in the week ahead!
