Tank Dell, WR (HOU)

Ready to practice Wednesday

The Texans opened Dell's (knee) 21-day practice window Wednesday.

As expected, Dell will make his return to practice Wednesday when first eligible, after he missed the required four games to begin the season upon landing on injured reserve Aug. 30. Houston's offense is desperate for an infusion of speed and playmaking ability beyond No. 1 wideout Nico Collins, but it's unclear if Dell will be able to fill the void as he works his way back from the gruesome left knee injury he sustained in December 2024. Though he was able to take part in some full-team work during training camp, Dell may need some time to ramp back up following his abbreviated layoff to begin the season and could be activated from injured reserve toward the back end of his 21-day window.
