ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that multiple wide receivers from the 2019 NFL Draft class won’t report for their respective team’s voluntary off-season workouts. In this report, Schefter named Titans WR A.J. Brown, 49ers WR Deebo Samuel and Commanders WR Terry McLaurin as WRs who are likely to skip their team’s on-field workouts. Brown and Samuel were selected in the second round of the 2019 Draft while McLaurin was selected by Washington in Round 3. The Titans and Commanders begin their offseason programs Monday, while the Niners start Tuesday.

All three of these WRs are in the final year of their rookie contract and are looking for a new deal over the coming months as they’re all set to be unrestricted free agents in 2023. With star WRs like Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, and Stefon Diggs all getting record deals this off-season and resetting the WR market, it’s not surprising to see the Commanders, 49ers, and Titans evaluating the market before moving forward with their star playmakers.

In dynasty formats, all three of these WRs would be solidified top-18 options assuming they’re able to ink long-term deals in the next several months. Deebo Samuel and A.J. Brown both ranked top-5 among all WRs in yards per route run a season ago while Terry McLaurin struggled with efficiency on the back of subpar QB play, ranking 60th in yards per target a season ago. Moreover, last year, all three WRs earned a 24+% target share. With all three WRs likely set to sign multi-years in the coming months and/or see an upgrade in QB play, now is the time to acquire these players in dynasty as their value is likely to rise with financial commitment from their respective teams.
