Their opponent, the Detroit Lions have allowed the sixth most passing yards per game. Brees and Stafford are both in play this week. Detroit has allowed the fourth-fewest rushing yards per game, so Brees should be throwing, plus he’s at home. Stafford doesn’t have a 300-yard passing game yet, and he’s only thrown three touchdowns in his last three games. Certainly a game against the Saints should fix that, but Brees has a higher ceiling.
