I love the strategies and thought processes that go into picking players to roster in tournaments. We want to take advantage of illogical recency bias by exploiting off base ownership percentages. Jimmy G fits the bill. He suffered through a rough Week 1 on the road against the Vikings but now gets to play at home against a Lions’ team that just put together a dreadful Week 1 performance on Monday Night Football. His matchup is favorable against a Lions’ defense that ranked 27th in passing yards allowed and 16th in Pass DVOA a season ago.

Patrick Mahomes at Pittsburgh $6,100
Early signs point to a beautiful marriage between Mahomes’ freakish talent and Andy Reid‘s genius schematic play-calling. Mahomes put up 256 passing yards and 4 TDs on the Chargers last week and now gets to play in a game which as of this writing, clearly boasts the highest over/under (52.5) of the week. Playing with Tyreek Hill, by definition, gives you overall QB1 of the week upside and a tough matchup on paper looks to be improving with Joe Haden currently dealing with a hamstring strain.
