Week 13 DFS Injury Impact
Injuries and players missing time for other reasons are always a big deal in fantasy football but even more so in DFS where one player’s issues can completely alter an entire game and the next man up mantra becomes vital due to the salary cap nature of DFS. Thus, it’s important to stay on top of all the injury and suspension news before locking in your DFS lineups.
Editor’s note: DFS Pass buyers and #FootClan members will receive a “Gameday Alerts” email, one hour before the main kickoff on Sunday and Ben will be on Periscope at 11:30 AM ET.
Here are the most relevant players on the main slate (If you’re looking for injury news for the primetime slate, check out the primetime slate article) in danger of missing time or returning to action in Week 13:
Baltimore Ravens @ Atlanta Falcons – 1:00pm ET
Doubtful for the Ravens: Joe Flacco
Upgrade: Lamar Jackson
It looks like no Joe Flacco once again so fire up Lamar, who has run for 190 yards in two starts and now gets to play against a Falcons defense that ranks 28th in passing yards allowed per game and 29th in Pass DVOA. Jackson offers plenty of upside in both the passing and running games in this juicy matchup.
OUT for the Ravens: Alex Collins
Questionable for the Ravens: Gus Edwards
Upgrade if Edwards plays: Gus Edwards
Alex Collins has been placed on Injured Reserve. Thus, if Edwards plays (It looks like he will) he has a great matchup this week against a Falcons defense that ranks 25th in rushing yards allowed per game and 31st in Run DVOA. Edwards projects to see plenty of rushing volume as he has carried the ball 40 times over the past two weeks.
