NFL DFS First Look Pricing for Week 18 (Fantasy Football)
While this week is another chance to wipe the slate for DFS, we need to recalibrate the way we think with so many teams either super motivated or unmotivated heading into the NFL playoffs. The salary standouts will change over the course of the week so be open to changing your opinions on players.
On Tuesday, Betz and myself share some of these insights on the Fantasy Footballers DFS Podcast if you want further commentary on some of the salary standouts.
Every week the First Look article gives you a taste of the slate and some of the more intriguing salaries that DraftKings and FanDuel release. The goal is to identify early week cash game considerations as well as potential tournament plays before we piece together the stacking options.
Check back on Thursday where Matthew Betz and myself share our official DraftKings and FanDuel picks for cash and GPPs exclusively in the DFS Pass.

Week 18 gives us another one of those hearty portions of blah. The slate is gross especially when you zero in on the totals.
Off the Main Slate: KC, DEN, DAL, PHI, LAC, LV
Quarterbacks
Do not do the tango of guessing if a player will be taken out a game. We want QBs motivated to play the full allotment of snaps.
DraftKings
- Our top early values in terms of points per dollar are Josh Allen ($8,100) and Kyler Murray ($7,400). Both teams are motivated to win and get in the playoffs. Last year the Bills destroyed in the final week of the season putting up 56 points with an emphatic stomping.
- Taysom Hill ($6,200) was the QB13 last week despite throwing for a pedestrian 222 & 1… Rushing is the great equalizer. ATL is allowing the 7th most rushing yards in the NFL and the Saints still have an outside shot at the playoffs.
- Trey Lance ($5,500) still is not priced up enough given his upside. The 49ers are motivated to win and get-in the playoffs.
Trey Lance brought a vertical element to the 49ers offense in his second career start.
Lance averaged the most air yards/attempt (11.5) and threw for the most yards on 10+ air yards passes (205) by any 49ers QB in a game over the last three seasons.#HOUvsSF | #FTTB pic.twitter.com/EBe38tvrUU

FanDuel
Because FanDuel’s price is scrunched together for QBs, finding values can be a challenge. Instead, the higher-tier options become that much better. Spending up at QB just makes sense budget-wise.
