NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Picks: Week 9 (Fantasy Football)
Building winning GPP lineups is tough by definition. However, there are a few key things to look for when filling out your roster. First and foremost is ceiling. We want players with the potential to score the most points. Next is leverage. We want the players who can take advantage of what the rest of the field is doing. Finally, we have to build a lineup that tells a winning story through game script and stacking.
Every week in this article, I will highlight my favorite FanDuel GPP picks at each position for the main slate of games. It won’t be an exhaustive list, but it aims to give you a starting point and a way of thinking as you build your tournament lineups. But don’t stop here. Note: As always, check out the Cash Picks article for more viable plays. I’ll call out a few of them below, but all of the picks featured there also deserve GPP consideration; just make sure to keep roster percentage, ceiling, and game stacking in mind when including them.
Quarterbacks
Jayden Daniels vs. LAR – $8,400
Even after missing two weeks earlier this season with another elbow injury, Daniels isn’t afraid to run. He leads all QBs with 47.2 rushing yards per game. That bodes well against a Rams defense that allows the third-most rushing yards per game to QBs. This matchup features a 3.75 Game Pace Score (GPS) and a modest 47.5-point over/under, which was enough to make Daniels the cover boy for this week’s Pace of Play article. Despite his slate-breaking ceiling, the optimizer is projecting Daniels to be rostered in fewer than 3% of lineups.
