NFL DFS FanDuel GPP Picks Week 3 (Fantasy Football)
Building winning GPP lineups, by definition, is tough. There are, however, some key things to look for when filling out your roster. First and foremost is ceiling, we want the players with potential to score the most points. Next is leverage, we want the players that fall through the cracks. Finally, we have to build a lineup that tells a winning story through game script and stacking.
For a deeper dive into GPP strategy, make sure to check out the Tournament Strategy episode that Borg and Betz put out over the offseason, and make sure to stay locked into the DFS and Betting Podcast.
A final note before diving into the picks. Don’t ignore Borg’s Cash Picks article. It pairs perfectly with my GPP picks article, as it’s typically a good idea to mix in some value plays, especially if they fit the GPP-winning story you write.
Quarterbacks
Justin Herbert @ MIN – $8,400
Herbert is facing the Vikings in what looks to be the game of the week. As outlined in Borg’s Pace of Play article, it scored a near-perfect 4.75 GPS. He’s quietly the QB3 in season-long formats despite throwing for just three total touchdowns over the first two games. Herbert has thrown three or more touchdowns in 31% of games played over his career. In the best game environment on the slate and with Austin Ekeler trending in the wrong direction, you’ve got to like his odds to hit that mark again this week. You also have to love all the stacking options you get access to on both sides when starting your build with Big Herb.
