NFL DFS FanDuel Cash Picks for Week 8 (Fantasy Football)
Each week I’ll highlight my favorite cash game picks that I have some confidence heading into the weekend to put into my player pools. Quarterbacks
Note: Remember on FD the pricing for QBs is bunched together so seemingly “expensive” players. I personally like paying up for QBs on this site and prize rushing QBs even more than on DK.
Josh Allen vs MIA- $8,800
You’re going to hear me gush about Josh Allen all week. Normally there are multiple viable options in cash that you could take a stab at. Allen is far and away the industry consensus this week in cash and in GPPs. Miami’s pass defense ranks 26th in DVOA and 28th in DvP versus fantasy QBs. The Bills destroyed the Dolphins in Week 2 (35-0) and they carry the highest team implied total of the week (31.5). In cash, this is easy. In the GPP article, I’ll detail his popularity and how to approach him in tourneys.
Jalen Hurts @ DET- $8,400
It’s hard arguing against a player who’s been in the top-10 every single week at the QB position. However, I’m seeing Hurts more as a high floor play this week than a GPP-winning type of QB. The Eagles are throwing at the 3rd highest rate in the league and the Lions are allowing the 2nd most 20+ yard pass plays in the NFL. When you add in 9.4 rush attempts per game, the floor is just way to safe to ignore in cash if you want to drop down from Josh Allen this week.
