Welcome to the FanDuel cash game breakdown for Week 8 of the 2024 NFL season. We’ve got a giant 14-game main slate, which means we have a ton of cash-viable plays, and it means we’re most likely able to differentiate our lineups more than usual this week, especially without any clear ultra-low salary options at any of the skill positions. As always, we’re looking to build rosters around players with steady volume and solid floor-ceiling combinations, while also taking advantage of the late-swap opportunities with the Sunday night game still offered as part of the main slate. With all that in mind, let’s break down the top plays to help you craft a winning cash game lineup on FanDuel this week.
Quarterbacks
Lamar Jackson – $8800
You can pretty much always play Lamar Jackson in cash games if it fits your build. He’s got Cleveland this week, and that matchup has suddenly become a shootout-friendly environment with Jameis Winston taking the reins at quarterback. Cleveland is just middle of the road defensively this year, ranking 15th in yards per play allowed and 17th in points per play allowed, with surprising troubles at the cornerback position. The Browns are bottom 12 in the NFL in schedule-adjusted fantasy points allowed to the quarterback position. That’s a problem when you’re facing Jackson, who is once again playing at an MVP level and has thrown for a ridiculous 12 yards per attempt in two straight contests.
