NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Picks: Week 9 (Fantasy Football)
For the purposes of this article, I’ll be highlighting plays that I believe have a solid range of outcomes at reduced roster percentage, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle in some cash plays into our lineup as well. When building your GPP lineups, be sure to reference our all-new Roster Percentage Report as well as our DFS Rankings in order to identify plays who have a solid projection yet may be undervalued relative to the field. In order to compete in GPPs, we’ll want to utilize a combination of cash plays and GPP plays in order to build solid lineups without sacrificing too much in the way of projection. Quarterback
Josh Allen $8,200
We’re not being sneaky with this one whatsoever, and Allen is definitely going to get played by the field, but when you compare him to Lamar Jackson ($7,300), he’s going to be far less popular. Allen gets a date with Urban Meyer’s Jaguars in Week 9 with the highest implied team total on the slate. His upside is a 40-burger against the Jags, who rank dead last in EPA per pass allowed and pass defense DVOA.
Patrick Mahomes $7,800
Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense has been awful over the last month of the season, but I think a lot of people would have been excited to play them this week against the Packers as the look-ahead line had the game total at 55.5 points. Now with Aaron Rodgers out, this game has lost a bit of its shine, and as a result, I think Mahomes goes overlooked on this slate. Yes, he’s been turning the ball over. Yes, he’s struggling. But that’s the time I personally want to be buying into the planet’s best QB as we know he’ll get the train back on the tracks sooner than later. Green Bay is still down Jaire Alexander and has allowed the 6th most TD passes in the league.
