NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Picks: Week 5 (Fantasy Football)
For the purposes of this article, I’ll be highlighting plays that I believe have a solid range of outcomes at reduced roster percentage, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle in some cash plays into our lineup as well. When building your GPP lineups, be sure to reference our all new Roster Percentage Report as well as our DFS Rankings in order to identify plays who have a solid projection yet may be undervalued relative to the field. In order to compete in GPPs, we’ll want to utilize a combination of cash plays and GPP plays in order to build solid lineups without sacrificing too much in the way of projection. Quarterback
Notable Quarterbacks NOT on the Main Slate: Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson, Matthew Stafford
Dak Prescott $6,900
Last week, Dak Prescott was a fixture in my cash lineups, but I’m not going to lie – we caught the right side of variance playing Dak as he attempted just 22 passes yet threw 4 TD…we got lucky. This may be a trend with the Cowboys offense as they continue to feature their running game. Over the last three weeks, Dak has attempted an average of just 25 passes with Dallas ranking 31st in neutral situation pass rate in that sample. Due to these volume concerns, I’m shying away from Dak in cash, but as we’ve seen, he has a massive ceiling, so I prefer to play Dak stacks in GPPs rather than cash games in Week 5.
Kirk Cousins $6,500
With Cousins offering a zero in the running game, he’s a tough sell at times in DFS given that this may limit his ceiling…not this week. The 1-3 Vikings catch the Lions at home in a must win game with a Vegas total creeping towards 50 points. Detroit ranks 30th in pass defense DVOA while struggling through multiple injuries to their starting corners. Excluding last week’s floor game against Cleveland, Cousins posted 25.0, 25,2 and 28.1 DraftKings points in Weeks 1-3.
