NFL DFS DraftKings GPP Picks: Week 1 (Fantasy Football)
For the purposes of this article, I’ll be highlighting plays that I believe have a solid range of outcomes at reduced roster percentage, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle in some cash plays into our lineup as well. When building your GPP lineups, be sure to reference our Roster Percentage Report as well as our DFS Rankings in order to identify plays who have a solid projection yet may be undervalued by the field. In order to compete in GPPs, we’ll want to utilize a combination of cash plays and GPP plays in order to build solid lineups without sacrificing too much in the way of projection. Quarterback
Patrick Mahomes $7,700
The Chiefs carry the slate’s highest implied team total in Week 1, currently sitting at a whopping 29.5. It’s for good reason. Always a great performer against the spread with extra time to prepare, Reid’s Chiefs have scored 38 40, 34 and 33 points in Week 1 going back to 2018. Mahomes’s splits in his career on the road are also much more favorable than when he plays at Arrowhead Stadium. On the road, he averages 316.8 passing yards per game and an elite 7% TD rate.
