Week 8 Main Slate Podcast

Locked-In Cash Plays

Borg – I’m locking in Bijan Robinson, no questions asked. Among the elite RBs this week, he is the sweet spot at $8800 given this insane matchup against the Dolphins at home. They are on pace to allow the 6th most rushing yards of any team over the last 25 years. He is accounting for 40.5 % of his team’s scrimmage yards, the highest % of any player since… Adrian Peterson in 2012! Plus he is the one Falcon I don’t have to stress out playing in any format.

Betz – Since Week 2, A.J. Brown has seen a 30% target share in Philly’s offense, opening up a ton of opportunity for DeVonta Smith at just $5,900 on DK and $6,700 on FD. Obviously, he’s priced as if he’s the WR2 in the offense but with Brown sidelined, Smitty should dominate looks in the pass game. We’ve seen three full games with Smith on the field sans Brown and in those contests, he went 7/76/1 on 10 targets, 7/79/0 on 10 targets and 8/148/0 on 12 targets. He’ll be in my lineup on both sites.

DraftKings Core Plays

These are the 3-5 players at each position we have mixed in our cash player pool. Based on salaries, late news, and budget constraints, it is guaranteed you will not be able to fit in all of them. But their high floors and team-implied totals make them great plays for the week in both cash & GPPs.

These are simply in order of favorite core players. You obviously won’t be able to fit all in a cash lineup and there are salary tradeoffs for paying up at each position.

Nix is settling in as the cash play this week but there is real competition from some of the high-end QBs in tournaments. Lamar Jackson‘s salary presents a predicament: is he back and will they fully let Lamar be Lamar? Regardless of your game takes, Jackson and Hurts both profile as high-end QBs we want exposure to in tournaments.
